Best Pix Of 2007...
alright alright. 2007. Post em up.
On posting... -Open to anyone -Dont go overboard with posting all your shots taken the whole year, around 15 should be good. -Borders on your photos encouraged -Maybe some input on your set that you posted up... learned something?, was it easy or hard? was it worth it? etc -Creative criticism also encouraged from other photogs , so we may learn something new for the next year. anything else should be a basic guideline Im missing? Older: Best Pix of 2006

Heh, there's so much more shooting to be done for me this year, including two music festivals, one skate comp (I think), stacks more gigs and whatever else I get up to. I'll check back in mid-december

damn it red or blue??? why not both...
Well Basically I really enjoy shooting things that are pretty much live and unscripted.
I tried the glam stuff just a lil bit and man it hard work, like getting the lighting down and telling the models what to do. Mucho headache for me. I tried to get a hang of that alien bee but in the end of the day i just got stung by it. Ill do portraits and thats about it. This years been good, still tryin out that 10-22mm which is way awesome.               This one is just for kicks...

Beautiful pictures so far! Amazing, really.
I thought I'd share a couple of my best this year =) Though I must admit I have a bit of a bad conscience posting my pictures in a thread like this... I'm far from good enough, compared to the rest of you. But well, it's my best pictures, so...  'The streets of Lijiang'  'Luck'  'Present Cixi' I hope they aren't giant and will take a century to load; I'll delete them in that case (Edit: They were. I like 1 and 3 but 2 seems a lil out of place.
2 has that tree branch that comes in from the top right, you might wanna get rid of that. 3 came out pretty good, kinda like a oil painting but my eye is being dragged to the dark spots on the upper part of the photo. Quote:

Top 15 huh? Here goes...  "The Learning Curve"  "Plurp"  "Sunset"  "The Tide"  "Bring the Heat"  "Lotus"  "Optophobia"  "Life"  "Zen"  "Connect"  "Leer"  "Forbidden"  "Precious"  "Solace"  "Afterlife" After taking a long break initially, I would say that 2007 was a very productive year for me. I'm more of a still life and moody lighting kind of photographer with a dash of nature. Mainly, still-life is my soul. Lately, I've been diving into self-portraits, it's a pain, but it's worth it. For the future, I plan to add more lenses under my belt, as well as play more with lighting in self portraits as well as still-life. I hope everyone will be productive in '08 as well as trying new things. Cheers all! Love, The Rose AKA Jerrica.
