ConceptArt.Org main page gallery submissions and nominees:

Hey All,

ConceptArt.Org is currently working on it's new photography main page gallery section (we have five spots left to fill!) and we are looking for nominees for the first positions opening up. You know the thumbnails atop conceptart.org? Yeah those galleries...we are building a photography section to support this forum and promote the artists sharing and giving here in the community who are doing the best work. We believe the photographers of this community also deserve the big spotlight that the major traffic of this site brings (averaging around 1.3 million international visits per month currently).

Here are the qualifications to consider.

Photo main page candidates must:

1. be exhibiting professional quality work here on conceptart.org.
2. be helping others here on the site
3. have have joined conceptart.org and been an active member for at least 30 days.
4. be setting a great example for others in the photography community.

One does not need to be working as a pro photographer, however, pro quality work is a must.

Nominees should submit their works in the following manner.

Bio - Heya - I'm Hovig Alahaidoyan, concept artist to the stars. I've been working in the film, animation and gaming industries since graduating the 8th wonder of the world - The Art Center College of Design. Some of my clients include HBO, Digital Domain, WB Animation, Climax, and Weta Digital. HOO-RAH for me. Even though my toolsets are mostly digital, I am still very interested in traditional painting and illustration, which is actually what inspired me to pursue a career in arts in the first place. Although it's not practical for my commercial work, I hope to one day return to my traditional roots, painting portraits of ducks. When I'm not creating masterpieces, I'm riding the couch as an armchair adventurer. As some of my heroes outside the arts include photojournalists and explorers, I am hoping that my future work opportunities will allow me to combine my love of drawing and painting, with my interest in world cultures. Out of those experiences, I hope to create my first graphic novel. I'm going to call it The X-Men. I currently live in Wellington, New Zealand with a Parrot named Gentleman Jim and a doll named Smarmy, but I'm moving to Mars very soon.

Considering Stine hasn't had a chance to post in quite some time shall we submit some of her photos without her consent? After all, Stine already posted them on the forum, so they're already here [in the public domain]; it's not really minus her consent... is it?

In my opinion who cares about what the photographer thinks? It's all about what the viewer thinks; so let's go a-rootin'!
