There are probably two things that I really want to get from art. Firstly, the joy of being able to draw whatever you have in your minds eye, any dream, situation or random thought. And have it come out the same as the way you imagined it. Too me, that kind of freedom means more than anything else when it comes to art.
Secondly, I would like to pay the bills with a art career. People say you cant enjoy your job, but even if this was true (I don't feel it is), there are varying levels and this would be something I rate the best.
When it comes to drawing, nothing beats graphite imo. It just feels more natural than plastic on plastic. I'll be trying oils soon so I cant say how I'll find them.
Shortcomings wise, I am lazy. I know it, so at least theres no denial.
Lately though, I have been more productive and less reluctant to work. And now with some structured class, I see myself actually working a lot. Another one being technical knowledge, which I'm hoping to get a idea of with this course. Self taught is the painful approach.
