He is very quick concept I came up with while listening to the classic Herbie Hancock tune, Watermelon Man. Not really much more to say, just a spur of the moment type thing. C&C welcome.

I Want One!
woooowwwiieeeeeee!! kick ass monster! great idea dude!
Very wierd but I love it!
Is this a monster that haunts the backwoods in Mississippi?
"He's gonna get you,
The Watermelon man!
Him with big toothy grin,
Like a big ol' slice of watermelon!
If you don't behave,
he's gonna get you
and gobble you up!
He's gonna spit your bones up
Like watermelon seeds!
So watch yer mouth,
Or the Watermelon man's comin' for you!
Hmmm...I smell a good horror story idea
Thanks guys. Its so hard to see what other see in you own work so I appreciate your feedback.
I wish i had the ability to side back from my work and look at it with a fresh perspective. I sculpted this one very quickly. I was just trying to capture a feeling and not focusing to symmetry or refinement. From the feedback I have been receiving I think I can assume I was successful.
Shadowwing - Mississippi sounds good, as long as he has an under the bed or closet to hide during the day. I rather like you poem; very evocative.
Noukah- Aye, they be teeth
