monotony - Thanks, they are both experiments in creating children's book covers

jatherip - Thanks for stopping by!

Cacodaemonia - Damn, I thought I should have checked the spelling, what a schoolboy error!Fixed that now, thanks for pointing it out. I used a fair bit of reference for all the animals, strange that the monkey sticks out like that.

Really not had any time this week because I'm leaving for Bolivia tomorrow, and most time was spent packing and whatnot. So apologies for this crappy update, and see you in a couple of weeks!

theUNKNOWNsketcher - Heh, thanks

Cacodaemonia - thank you

Mischeviouslittleelf - Glad you liked it!

Giorge - Heheh, you've got to love the mickey mouse voice saying something out of character (like in south park).

Well, I'm back from Bolivia! What a crazy trip, definately the most dangerous holiday I've ever had! I kept a sketch journal, but it feels a little personal to post, so forgive me for not doing so.
I've been inspired to paint a scene from the streets of La Paz, and it's taking me quite some time to paint all the little nick-nacks and stuff, so here's a w.i.p.

Haha ya... that was a good one in south park... but i think that drawn together had a better depiction of mickey mouse ... "...you don't f#$%ing talk to me haha!you little piece of s#%@ haha! , get the fuck up! get the fuck up! haha!... " ... no further comment ^^.
Hey that street shot , actually looks nice , like the scarves ... but what the hell is happening in the middle where's that big orange spot...

take care man!

Bolivia, huh? Did you get to try and Guinea Pig? A friend of mine visited La Paz and the surrounding trails and ruins over the summer, and he said that Guinea Pig is a common dish there.

This painting is coming along really nicely. The details are looking wonderful, and I think once you've finished them, it will just be a matter of making sure all the lighting is consistent. Right now the white hat looks a bit too bright white, and has no texture that I can see.

Strassenpenner08 - Thanks, glad you think so.

Giorge - Thanks, it's a work in progress so that bit in the middle is a big blob of shadow under a crapload of strings and scarves.

Cacodaemonia - Sadly I didn't find any guineapig on offer, hard as I may have tried to find some - had plenty of Llama and giant fish out of the amazon though I agree totally with the crits - thanks!

This is taking so long, mainly because I'm putting off painting the hundreds of ribbons/strings/scarves in the middle of the stall. Working on finding a way of communicating the complexity without drawing every single strand. Here's a little more progress bleh.

Yeah, more detail on that street scene! Don't give up!

The mantis looks great. Nice job replicating the photo feel of it.

Chromosome - Cheers, thanks for the kind words.

Jatherip - Yeah, about an hour and a half I think

a little something else I'm messing with. Off to Japan tomorrow, so I'll be posting in 2 weeks!

Cheers guys.
