Hahhahaa...a freshman in high school. Yes, I am crying.

In the first painting, the detail in the fur and armor is really good. Some things that are lacking though are the background elements. What stands out the most is the large rock to the back of the figure--the edges are too sharp and it looks like it was just cut and pasted there. Just soften the edges to give it some atmospheric perspective. The gradual softening of detail in the hillside as it recedes in the distance works well.

Why do people keep doing that? Life is short enough without being reminded of the huge backlog on painting i have. I wasted my high-school on girls and a guitar i still can't play...

Man these are excelent drawings. And to think that you'll actually only IMPROVE in the coming years...

Why is there only dogs though? You like dogs i guess? How many teeth do they have between their canines in the front. I thought only four. Thats really the _only_ thing i can find in these pics. Great great great.

If you're 14/15, I draw/paint like a six year old in comparison.

And I'm twice your age...

Congrats on these, they are great.

-You'd be great as 'exhibit A' for the defense of a 'natural talent really exists' side in the "talent or education?" thread in the lounge.

Well, Mozart wrote music at a very early age, so I guess there is such a thing as raw talent.

I guess I can sell my Wacom now and do something else.

After seeing what you did with the pencil i just want to die. O_o... how big is that image of your friends? How long did it take you (to ask the most asked and dummest question anyone drawing anything has to listen to all the time)

I like your pencil work better than the paintings though.

Pretty damn impressive for a someone who is 15. Youll go far.
My main comment is you need to work on color harmony. For me to eplain this in more detail I would need to write you a novel. So Im gonna try to make it super simple and the rest youll need to read about or something, okay.

Here we go, color harmony is achieved through the overall browing or greying of all colors throughout your picture. In other words, bring your colors towards neutrals. Check out the masters works like Rembant to see what i mean. A lot of his paintings are just variations of browns. Its dosent llok like they are, but they are.
Hope this helps
