Faun Javalineer (4 breasted nudity)

It's been ages since I posted here, and I've never posted in 3d. I'm nervous all over again.

Ok, I resolved that if I was going to get involved in CA again, I'd babble less. So here's the pics:

The green:

Primed for painting:

Material: Knead-a-tite (Green Stuf)
Height: Aprox 40mm to the eyes (so roughly 50 if she were standing upright) just about 2 inches to the very tip of the horns (for those of you who are metric impaired like me.)
Background: This is a race I have started sketching in for a fantasy project someday to be completed. The Fauns are forest dwelling raiders who are longer lived than humans but whose males have dwindled in number, dying at the hands of human hunstman. The females have taken to raiding caravans and villages, stealing babes and young children to raise as their own, suckling them and training them as servants, squires, and workers, (as the Faun's end iin blunt, hoof-like nails, they lack the dexterity of humans.)

C&C most heartily welcome.

I know I need to work on smoothing the greenstuff better, and I need some finer needles/tools for texturing hair and working the face.

I'd suggest you pop here:

Yahoo:Miniature sculpting

These guys sculpt using green stuff and brown stuff - you'll find lots of info there, specifically tailored to green stuff.

Nice for a first post

The thing is : the pose looks weird, normaly to throw a javalin, the back leg is on the ground and the front one just rise to help getting power (not shure to be clear) Maybe she is running but something 's wrong...

Nice details
could be thinner and smoother;
some little anantomy problems*
but i am sure you will progress as fast as a Javalin

keep going on

Hey, thanks for taking a look, guys.

Vengir & Blahisim -- Thanks for the links, guys. These are very helpful.

RE: Pose: Yeah, I know it's kind of weird as far as throwing goes. My rationale is that this is these Fauns would charge forward into throwing range, then plant their legs and toss. I had envisioned this as being just before the leg comes down to throw.

Cephalopod - Thanks! I'm a big Harryhousen fan. He was one of the architects of my youthful imagination, along with Bashki, William Stout, and Allen Lee.

Deadly Freeze- Thanks. I would like to work bigger, but my studio is the couch in my one Bedroom apt. that I share with my wife and two cats. That makes miniature sculpting the perfect outlet, since my "studio" is a folding table with a lamp.

Thanks for looking guys. I'm starting to paint the fig, so I'll post those once it's done.

I have started sculpting another, smaller fig, and already the lessons from this one are paying off.
