Nice start to a sketchbook. Welcome to the boards. Focus on anatomy and the human figure for the time being, try drawing from life as much as possible, draw a page of your hands a day, its a good exercise with many benifits, especially on form and line but also on proportion.

Heres the Loomis anatomy books free on the internet.
http://fineart.sk/index.php?cat=1

Heres some figure studies by the great Kevin Chen
http://www.characterdesigns.com/inde...page=tutorials

Heres some articles by the another great, Glenn Vilppu.
http://mag.awn.com/index.php?ltype=C...&column=vilppu

I usually try to draw at least 5 - 8 hrs a day, but even 30 mins a day will help you improve fast. Hope these links help out, keep n posting.

From what I can see here I say do some hand studies. My best tip is to fill a paper with various anatomy studies each day. You'll be surprised at how quick you'll improve

Good eye study there. I would suggest doing whole pages of them viewed from different angles too.

And don't forget to do studies of the rest of the body too!

That close up of the eye is quite nice. I really enjoy it.

The one before that, the upset, tribal fellow is a nice start. I think you could benifit from doing some mouth sketches and working on porportions of the face. His face is pretty long, specifically, the chin and cheek areas.

I look forward to your next update! Nice job.

Try drawing out the shapes of the face before you actually draw in anything full. Also, the values on the face should transition smoother, and try not avoid turning shadows into hard lines.
Keep it up though!
