Begun painting for commission!

UPDATE: Have thinned out Babhbán's leg, brought her knee up, added more muscle definition (but not too much) to Solas, and made the arrows in Dorcha's quiver longer. Can't do much about her neck since it disappears behind her braid, but yeah. Began painting, as you can see.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...t/SolasWIP.jpg
Solas - Top. The male elf with the shield. His fist is thrust out like that because he is using his power to create light around him, and the background in his area will reflect that by turning from early sunset sky to afternoon sky. His right fist is going to be pretty faded into Babhbán's space so I didn't feel the need to give his other bracer-thing details.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...cathachWIP.jpg
Scathach - Middle Left. Female elf with the battle face. She looks pretty good to me, but if there's anything that needs to be pointed out about her, I would like to hear it.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../DorchaWIP.jpg
Dorcha - Bottom. Female elf with bow. I'm positive there's something wrong with her face, but I need your help on figuring out what it is. The end of her arrow is collecting darkness, as that is her power, so if you want to you can try to imagine it there.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...BabhbanWIP.jpg
Babhbán - Right side. Female elf whose bottom half turns into bones when she enters the Shadowlands. Her flesh and dress are meant to be rotting away so we as on the process of that.

Feel free to be harsh! And thank you for taking the time to read my post and offer your help!

D... you're in the right thread. I have a couple of suggestions. I dont see any problems with Dorcha (except maybe for this name) nor Scathach. On Solas, I think the left hand looks a bit long. And at first glance i thought he was one of the girl, so I would suggest adding some facial hair or musculature. Babhban's legs looks too thick and long compared to her upper body. The knee on the right leg is definitely too low. Her hands also look a bit stiff. I really like your clean line work and would like to see what you do with colors. Good luck!

The names are Irish and I can't do anything about the facial hair for Solas, because he is not my character. But I will see what I can do about making him look more masculine.

But as for Babhbán, it's supposed to be like 3-point perspective, where you're kinda looking up at her, which is why the legs are so big in comparison. Are you saying that even at that perspective, they're too thick, or at first glance it doesn't register like I intend it to?

Taking the 3-point perspective into consideration, I still think the thigh is too long. If the knee was moved up, aligned with Dorcha's left eye, it would be more convincing. And the thickness, its just on the right leg that seems off, but again, it might be due to the placement of the knee.

Thank you! I'll move the knee up and lessen the thickness in the leg and see how it goes.

I like your work! For Dorcha, the neck might be a little thick for a female character; also, when a woman raises her arm, her breast lifts and flattens a little. Great look, though....

1 thing, thats it 1. The arrows in the quiver look to small. not a huge thing but I know its in perspective, but that arrow in the bow is pretty big in comparison.

This is lookin' sweet, Dar.. You might think about making the Shadowlands a little grimmer, to really contrast against the blue sky in that "portal". Otherwise, very spiffy!
