so this sucks.. car got stolen but who cares about the car its about the art supplies

ok so my car got stolen on friday and with it the thumbdrive and my thunderdome rendering. but thats not even bad as i go over it all in my head i lost a shit load of art stuff.

a set of robert simmons oil filbert brushes 2-10
pencil sharpener
nib pointer
2 canvas boards

various large tubes of acrylic paints
6 synthetic brushes
a glass pallete
turp can
gamblin mineral spirits (large can)

15 mixed tubes of oil paints (gamblin)
a half finished sketchbook 11x14

and about a million other things

not to mention 2 back packs and all of my school books with the notebooks and homework assignments

oh and probably my car stereo a couple sweatshits, board shorts and running shoes with an old cell phone thrown in for good measure.

fuckin a man... do the math and its a lot of expensive shit that a common car thief could give a shit about... so far its been about 68 hours since it was stolen.

yea, and i have one more..

yea the inking portfolio hurt... but i think the fact that all the tools i prefer to ink got taken too hurts worse... i could always ink a copy again but the brushes are a ouch in itself.

actually, i would much rather re-do my portfolio than put in another 60 hours a week or so of work at my job to pay for a few lost pencils.

molly - yea i am waiting to hear back... when i wrote this post i was really creating the itemized list of what i had in my car, too bad i cant tell em i had a tablet pc or an intuos 3 18x12 in the car

Aww man i totally send you lots of hugs and sympathy. I would be so hopping mad if someone stole my car, let alone if i had all that cool stuff in it! I know how it feels to loose something like an art portfolio. i left one of my very first sketch books on the football risers at school dureing a pep rally...and never saw it again. it hurt a lot because it had a lot of original sketchs and the beginings of alot of my characters. it had my name in it...but i guess no one cared...and it sucks.
