Eugene Blasset?
Hi -
Anybody out there know anything about Eugene Blasset? He appears to be a French School-esque oil painter active in the 19th c... I've tried various online searches & come up with some auction sales of his works, but no info on the artist himself. Anybody know anything? TIA, BBA |

I am familiar with austrian 19th century painter Eugene de Blaas.
You can find lot of info on him around. Then there are Sotheby's and Christie's catalogues, as well.

Hi Valentino -
No, there's a definite "set" on the end of the signature - "Blasset". While the two DO have a similar style, de Blaas' work is somewhat more refined (and probably a touch more modern/younger from the looks of it) than the three E. Blasset's painting I've seen so far. Thank you for your reply, though! BBA |
