Does anyone know...

Who the artist might be...I will try to describe the painting as best I can..

A mother going up or coming down a staircase with an infant in her arms. The infant is wearing a christening gown with a very long train.

My mother saw it about 20 years ago, Im guessing, in a small shop in Haddonfield, NJ. I have no idea whether it was a famous or local artist, or whether is was an original and single painting, or maybe was reproduced.
I thought asking on here was worth a shot. Thanks!!
