Looking for awesome artists to draw a costumed pic of me, my g/f and my friends. $$

Hey everyone! I'm looking for an artist to draw an awesome group picture of my friends, my girlfriend, and myself together, in the costumes of our fav movie /game characters/ future job roles.
I'd promised I'd get someone to do it for a long time now, but I never got round to it. And my buddies are counting on me!
I have paypal, and can pay via there ... but I can also do bank transfers, or buy things online for you. Whatever would be easier for you really. No price is a problem for me to pay.

I am interested in obtaining sketches, colored pieces of art, or inked pieces. I would like you to supply a link to artwork you have done before hand as well. Thats pretty important, so we can make sure you are the right style of artist we want for the job.

Basically, this is what I want drawn:

(Picture indexes of us and the costmes can be found at the bottom of the thread)

Hannah (My gf) - Pornstar - I would want Hannah to be the centre of the picture - Looking sexy as hell, enticing, and showing herself off. I'd like her to be topless (with breasts showing... if thats ok? If not, no worries at all), and for you to exaggerate her breasts .. It's all in the pornstar brand Obviously, any sexy clothing is fine, use your imagination. Fake white nails and platform shoes are a must.

Hannah's pictures-

http://deem-townhosting/Concept/Hannah2.JPG

http://deem-townhosting/Concept/Hannah3.jpg

http://deem-townhosting/Concept/Hannah4.jpg

http://deem-townhosting/Concept/Hannah5.JPG

Luke (Me) - Solid Snake sneaking suit. For me, just Solid Snakes sneaking suit and the bandana. Also the Socom pistol.

My Pictures-

http://deem-townhosting/Concept/Luke1.JPG

http://deem-townhosting/Concept/Luke2.jpg

http://deem-townhosting/Concept/Luke3.jpg

David - Dark Jedi clothing- Dave is a huge fan of Star Wars, so him being in Dark Jedi robes will make him smile. Of course, a light sabre is a must.

Daves Pictures-

http://deem-townhosting/Concept/Dave1.JPG

Tom - Stryder from Lord of the Rings - Tom would like to be based on Stryder/Aragorn from the Lord of the Rings. Have him standing near either Hannah or Myself.

Tom's Pictures-

http://deem-townhosting/Concept/LukeandTom.JPG

http://deem-townhosting/Concept/TomandLuke.JPG

Lee - Cloud from FF7- Everyone knows Cloud, and he happens to be Lee's fav game character. Nothing needs to change, just stick to Clouds original design, but use Lee's face. You can use Clouds hair, but if you do, colour it brown.

Lee's Pictures-

http://deem-townhosting/Concept/Lee.jpg

http://deem-townhosting/Concept/Lee2.jpg

http://deem-townhosting/Concept/Lee3.jpg

The most important part of this is that we actually look like the pictures you have drawn. We would of course like them to be cartoony, and drawn in your own style of art, BUT we must be able to say ' Hey, you look cool like that!' and be able to point out who is who.
Many thanks. can't wait to hear from you all.

Please email me ( BGHanandluke@gmail.com or PM me through this website. Many thanks)

Complete Index of pictures is just http://deem-townhosting/Concept

FOR CHARACTER COSTUMES - http://deem-townhosting/Costume ( You don't have to use what I have provided exactly, they are just a handy example. Take the porn star outfit for example- That is merely an idea.)

Looks like a fantastic fun gig. I'd love to do it but I'm really busy for the first few weeks of the new year. If this isn't a problem, go look here www.artwanted.com/graviton and drop me a line. Either way, good look with your project and congratulations on having such a hot girlfriend.

Sorry, net was really unstable all of today. Can't get on MSN or anything by looks of it. I'll try to put up the sketches I've already done some time today. (Probably on my own site and post a link).

I'm going with the individual pieces put together into one picture idea. Lets me do more detail and the whole thing turns out with better options for printing and the like. The style will be manga/game (Similar to those Korean/Japanese RPG art you've probably seen floating around the place.)

^_^ Anyway, I'll get back to you with the new stuff ASAP. By email if my net stablizes more. At the moment I can't even upload stuff let alone send attachments *Sigh*

Storms and all.

Big thanks and a small concern...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey Jason -
Thanks again for all your hard work on the SanFran thing - I had a great time, and really did learn a lot. Its an amazing thing that you got so many talented people together. JP, James Zhang, Ron Lemen, Marko - everyone was extremely approachable. Cheers.

I'm writing you with a small concern about the forum. Last fall, a user named Mantis pm'd me and asked for a commision. Though it was an insubstantial amount of money, I was bored at the time, and took him up on it. I haven't heard from him since, despite several emails and PM's. Recently in the job posting section of the forum, a user named Lukey_Puker posted looking for a drawing of him and his friends. Not only are his name and his girlfriend's name the same as the guy who got in touch with me, but Mantis' last post and Lukey_Puker's first post coincide to the same exact day.

Hey, you shouldn't start posting things that aren't even true. I have no idea who this Mantis guy is, and he has nothing to do with me. I find it quite rude, actually, to accuse people like that.

Man - the gig is up.
Manley confirmed you're the same guy, and not only that but your links above used to have a 'mantis' reference in them. You most recent denial post is 1:51am today... exactly 2 minutes after you edited your first post at 1:49 to change the link addresses and remove the 'mantis' reference from them.

Totally missed what happened here. I was commissioned b this individual and began the project AFTER we had agreed to terms only to find that he later refused to keep in touch with me, essentially negating any contract we had. I have no qualms with this as a whole, sometimes people get in a little over their head, but remember please that this forum is for artists wishing to make a little money, so do not present falsities here.

Same exact thing happened to me. We agreed on a price/terms, and then he disappeared after I finished the work, but before I sent him a full res final version.

I just think its irresponsible - if you find yourself in a situation where you can't pay, or are in over your head, you owe it to the person you've commisioned to be up front.

Well, I'm not happy to here that Spartan, not at all. But by the same token, their is a little consolation to know I was not the only one out to lunch left to foot the bill, so to speak. Now I have this drawing chilling at home with nothing to do with it. By the way, LOVE your art.... alot

hannah sent me an email requesting that they stop being harassed or something. manntis and lukey are going to be banned later today. bghanaandluke@gmail.com is the email address they contacted me from.

they both use the exact same ip address.

get contracts when doing all artworks.

Re: the gig
Your artwork is fantastic, I'd love for you to work on our pic.

if you could churn out a lil sketch for us, and then we'll negotiate a price for the actual thing? Unless you have another way of working. Tell me what you think.

Your greatfully,
Luke

thankfully thats all he got from me, a "lil sketch" that was like 10 mins of work.. a bad digicam shot of one

he never contacted me back after that.. i thought he went on vacation or something.. funny how he just pops up when someone mentions him huh?

meh -
Its all good. It took me no time, and was ok for practice. I sort of prepared myself for something like this happening because I've done alot of internet contract work in the past, and I know the pitfalls.

I could tell he was an amateur looking for a bit of art, so that tipped me off that maybe something would go awry... I wanted to blow the horn on him so that a younger artist wouldn't slave away on something they were really proud of, only to have the same thing happen.

Hey at least "Hannah" is easy on the eyes.

Anyone still willing to draw her should do so in a humorous way. That could be quite entertaining for the rest of us.

question...

I noticed that in the initial post, this guy requested that his girlfriend be drawn with bare breasts... after looking at the pictures of him and his friends, and wondering just how old they are....I'm wondering if commissioned art of this subject matter would be setting up the artist for potential legal action against them. Are there laws in place that protect artists in different ways from say, photographers? All I'm saying is, she doesn't look old enough to buy a beer, much less be a legal porn star, would drawing a picture of someone under-age for money be considered smut or what? Just wondering...thanks.

18 and you're legal to do porn, but you can't drink till you're 21.
but to draw someone's boobs, i doubt they have to be 18. it's probably not enforced at all, if it's just topless.

Either way, if I got that in my inbox, there's no way I'd be drawing her boobs. Legal or illegal - I have a modicum of self-respect I don't want to lose!
