Char Design - Having trouble selecting the right color.

Here's the uptake:

A is the default. I'm current sticking to this one.
B is when I tried to mix red with blue
C looks too much like one of my old design, but it looks simple enough.
D looks to gundam to me, but my friend likes it. -_-

The character is supposed to be a cool/rich/androgynous character. and should sit well with these characters.

I'm stumped(again...), because when I asked around. They(My friends) told me it all looked good. And their personal fav is different from another.

Please post your opinion on what choice you like best, and C&C about how to makes it better.

Hey man - Here's my 2 cents:
A: works, but isn't very interesting or memorable - not enough value variation.
B:Is an improvement, but I would make the blue pckets the same color as the grey on his arms
C:Too many colors...When designing characters I try to limit the number of colors I use so as to create a more iconic look
D:I like this one best - you have 3 nice different values and the tones work well together. If yiou don't like the blue, I suggest trying this same scheme but basing it in red, green, etc.. until you are happy.

Ok, it's finished! From what I've gathered from here & eatpoo, it is decided that

-Blue shall be used but toned down. (I was hoping for a vibrant color, but the guy who hired me thought that he/she should play some villain parts. So vibrant is a no-no.)
-More gold to be added.
-Red was disapointedly skipped for the same reason as above.

I think the combination of blue and grey was a good choice.
Too bad about the red--I liked it because of the pop--but the gold accents are nice.
