looking good so far!

even if it's a night scene, I think you could still stretch to fit the entire value range here--maybe some candlelight in windows, rim lighting on that figure, I think that might really add another dimension to this

nice night scene! I agree with Jaytea on the value range. maybe add a light source behind the lady so its some warmth coming from outside her home onto the porch.

Where is the ship going? If it is trying to dock it needs a place to do that. Also I'm no expert on sailing but my guess is that if the sails are that full it would probably be going pretty fast right into the wall. I honestly don't know how old sailing vessels made it into port.

Lol Thanx ,well basicly I looked at a lot of classical paintings of harbers they really didnt have much more than a rope to tie the ships to, yeah
I am not sure how fast it would be going either with the sail catching wind like, I live right by the oceanside harbour would be a good Idea for me to head down,...
