Mayan Mystery New Pages
At long last, I've returned to drawing again! These are pages three and four in what I'm hoping will be a fun little story/poem that sheds some insight on the video game. What I'd like to get from everyone is their initial reaction/reads on them. I'm leaning towards the text being at the bottom now that I look at them here...how about the rough borders? I'm still looking for something that feels right, but think that it does look nicer than a clean edge. Of course, if you've got an opinion on something else, I want to hear that too!

I like the way you color your illustrations. I think the green borders could be changed to a light yellowish brown color, kind of like the color scheme of this site. Other than that i don't quite mind the rough edges of your illustration, it's just that I find the green not very flattering.

I agree with Avvatar. The green border (at least that specific green) is kind of killing your illustrations right now. The colors just clash. The illustrations themselves are nice though.
The rough borders might be too rough especially on the second where it feels like the border really cuts into the action. If you like it better crisp why not post them that way too so we can see for comparison. But I'm not opposed to the rough border completely just maybe a subtler version that doesn't bite so far into your drawing.

Just another idea... I think it would look awesome if you did some kind of illsutration for the background instead of leaving it white. Something like an old school pirate parchment map would go very well with your images I think.
