sunset sky

i wanted to try making clouds so this is what i came up with, im open to critiques and suggestions.

I like the reflection of the clouds in the water - it's subtle but cool. I'd like to see some variation in tone show up in your landmasses though, even if it's really minimal. Just a suggestion. Kutgw!

is this any better i added some lighter greens and purple in the shadows of the trees

i think im going to fade those landmasses into the backround because the contrast is drawing my eye away from the sky. will post once finished.

I'm working on cloud formations myself at the moment. There's a cool walkthrough video on Martin Bland's website (http://www.spyroteknik.com/resources.html), which I found very helpful when it came to things like shape and brush strokes.

thanks for the link ill check it out. heres an update. i tried to lower the contrast on the islands on either side as well as create contrast in the clouds toward the middle of the sky so that the viewers eyes hopefully moves there.
