Lol clever boy
I love the design but yeah anatomy is the key. I think what the problem I see in a lot of your drawings is that it looks too flat. Mainly when you're drawing bodies. Like here for instance the leg on the right should be facing the viewer alot more.
Same thing with the arm thats resting on the leg. It actually really doesnt look like it is resting though. You need to show more of the front of the hand or whetever it is. You need to learn how to foreshorten body parts when dealing with perspectives.
Jero you should really practice your anatomy, you're a great artists, but you can be a whole let better if you did practice. I'm telling you it's not that bad really, I actually love studying anatomy.
Keep up the good work.
nice to see you starting a sketchbook jero, keep em coming
hehe jero look cool?
Where tha hell did you get time for this hehe
Iwish my scanner was working.

these are nice starts, but i gotta say they do look fairly gieger-ish, mostly because of the boney and spiney structure..and the large long head...i like the sculptural part the best of that creature, and most prefer the version thats on all fours...that upright version kind of exploits the alien-esque qualities its getting while the galloping version comes off much more original. this most recent sketch is coming along nicely, just not sure what i'm looking at really...which is ok too heh. keep em coming
You are right about the standing alien sketch, a little too HR Gigerish, did'nt realy want that though. I'm even a ashamed
I always create from my head, or how do you say that? not realy from an existing artstyle, like "i wanna b like that"... I try to be more original. If you look 2 my other worx, you will notice...
My concept was 2 create an "earo"dynamical creature, strong, and overall very quick. Strong for water as wel as on land. That's also why i come up with the long head. In my begin sketches the aliens are more original, the different heads and the running creature style, I think i had 2 stay in that way...
Well my last post is also 2 show that i developed my own style. I realy like to create images that you have 2 explore, before you know what's realy going on.
It takes time to understand hehe Art like this is what i create more often. So it's a challenge for my to create something realy functional. Couse most of the time i want too much...
Thanx for the reply,
It's good 2 hear crits from a great artist

to the character, so here it iz....

your style reminds me of Gieger... is that his name? the one that designed "Aliens"?
Yeah it's HR Giger u mean, though i try to develop my own style,
But it alway's comes out close to his
I never drawed (stealed) his style literally. But i can say i'm inspirated
by him. I also have posters of his art in my room, so i see it everyday
Maybe thats one of the reasons why...
Well, here a new quick sketchy style..
There's realy something wrong with her head and body (they don't realy fit).
But it's a good practice. Stuff like this motivates me again

Next to a more realistic style, i also like cartoony works. On this little project i tried to combine some different styles to one.
Time to time i like to experiment with styles. And also to find out what i realy like to do (for now and the future).
This is a little try to design some characters that fit with eachother in one film or something (maybe 3D later). I try to fix me more on this kind of stuff now. And keep stuff a bit simpler, for the posibility to make em movable etc. Just not as complicated like some of my other works.
Ok here's the piece.
Maybe later some body designs, full designs.

Painter is very new to me, i tried some painting in photoshop.
But i find painter brings more the result like how i want it.
should finish this up a bit, soon
This work i did is partly from reference. A normal and good looking girl,
mostly for porportions and lightning. I gave "her" a totaly other look
If anyone has some great Paint(er) tips or like great brushes in Painter,
special techniques, experiences etc. i would realy like to hear it.
For this one i used: Artists oils-Wet brush.

Time for some moves. Got it from some sort of short ninja movie,
low res one, but good for me. Cuz i did'nt want to fix me on the details,
more on the porportions and the way to bring moves in a piece a bit
