There's a disparity between the name and the man, but so it's life.

Lightbulb

I think he was credited as "Seetha Narayanan" in Photoshop 6, although it was Seetharaman in PS 4.

Maybe they thought his name was taking up an unfair amount of room?

Evidently he didn't like that very much, because it's back at Seetharaman now. It's also the name that sticks most in my head... although Thomas Knoll and Marc Pawliger are also in there.

Who's Mark Hamburg? I'm sure that name's been on the startup of PS before, but I don't see him on CS2...

Silly Yiako, you can't cover up the truth with your silly photoshop.

Here's the version he didn't want you to see:

It has been said that Seetharaman Narayanan has evolved to the point where he is more Lens Flare than man. He can bevel and emboss through the power of sheer thought. I heard one time he was walking down the street and some gang tried to mug him and he Unsharp Masked his hand and karate chopped one of the thugs in half, and then one of the other thugs attacked him and he Pinched that guy's head so hard it exploded and then after he Plastic Wrapped the rest of the thugs he disappeared in a burst of Difference Clouds.

Ok, I did some research on Google and found that his name can also be spelled Seetha Naray-anan. I also found an actual e-mail by him here...
http://www.mail-archive.com/struts-u.../msg16042.html
No e-mail address though. Not sure if it's the same guy, but a Seetharaman Narayanan donated $500 to the tsunami relief fund here...
http://www.sulekha.com/aidtsunami/
Also, if you got Photoshop 6, go to Help>About Photoshop... and you see the screen. After a while it will start scrolling. You can use your alt. buttons to page up and down. It says he was with Engineering. On a side note, there’s a Russell Brown who is with Evangelism team. I have a neighbor named Russell Brown. Man, I should be a private investigator, or Bounty Hunter

Wow, I thought I was the only one... I work with PShop every day, and I always notice "Seetharaman Narayanan" even when I'm trying to see some other name. [snf] I feel so validated...

Hey GREAT story, OKelvin!

Hahahahaha, this thread needs t be archived. The lens flair shit had me busting a seam. To funny, and I totally notice this name too, since Naraynan sounds suspiciously like one of Prodigy's song names.

...think his parents were fans?

God, yes, this topic is genius. I do wonder, though, if the real Seetharaman perhaps browses art forums... could be an interesting result. Lens Flare Man rocks hard, anyway.

YES! Every time I fire up Photoshop at work people wonder why I'm laughing.

I think I first became entranced by that name because of this:

http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/shig.php

It's ... very odd. For some reason I think that it's THE Shig Ohira.

At first I thought this was a thread about that Sesskrah spammer guy who was banned a little while back. I'm tickled to see what this thread actually is. So who's gonna be the first to email him?
