Rockbeetle's daily stuff

its the second day today. in school i looked at the eyebrows or eyes of a person for about 3/4 of a second then i would memorize to draw it over math sheets. back home i drawed eyebrows and eyes from photography and from myself, then i did a monster, then some studies that might've took two hours together.

today's dump is a bit less impressing, but i had black holes in my mind. i might edit post to add one or two sheets.

BTW: Photobucket seems to resize them slightly
EDIT: Added a page, enough for today, bedtime.
i liked the first skull better..maybe i should sharpen my pencil and draw when its not night.

fourth day since i started this thread, but these drawings were for yersterday. today i can't draw since i have a critical mid-year oral exam.
but hidden viewers, fear not! i will try to pop out few quickies in math class, i always like to draw something.

yersterday was a session of self-observation. the beginnings aren't too good with the eyebrows, but i gotta try to do it the whole week. i love self observation, it's fun.

sorry for the last one, i forgot to tilt it, it's not the best i can do anyway.

two new additions. the robocock have been inked, the other is pure digital brushing. enjoy, and be the first in 7 days to leave a comment, i will love you big time.
Breathing cavern comes from a short story with four illustrations i made for myself. It absorbs nearby oxygen and after a while it comes out red and green. The meaning of this would mean that he inject various poisonous chemicals into the breathable air...what a weird creature.

Hey, Girion!

Really awesome start to your sketchbook, don't know why nobody's posted yet.

Really like your skulls and anatomy studies, they're looking good! That's the first step to progression in drawing!

How long have you been drawing? Post some more of your work, I'd really like to see it!

Ian

Thanks for the first reply! the thread is from january 14th 2004.

i looked at your 4-page long sketchbook and i liked it, i appreciate countless amount of stuff here. i even stopped myself to draw two under/above views simple faces from this post (clicking will show the exact post) ( clicking will require energy, along with walking or snorting ) http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...&postcount=159

your sketchbook is nice, you started drawing few months ago, and you already started to study anatomy and proportions, i only started to do something remotly similar 11 months ago, but i started drawing at 10, 4 years ago.
i ty again for replying, i tho that all hope was lost

(btw, scropion for eva )

icey, you live in my homeland! i moved from romania to canada. the horizon, beauty of the europe and overall happyness of the country will miss me
i looked at your sketchbook about 10 times since i joined, i like it a lot!
thanks for the tips, they're piercing and straight to the point, i will take them to heart. thanks a lot for the reply, here is newer stuff ( i should try to "finish the forms from head to toes" , i tend to stop under the belt. )
they're class doodling from the lastest 3 days ( some blue lines got channeled with photoshop, some not.. )

i also reposted some drawings from last week, as the previous link doesnt seem to work anymore

sweet jesus, you're 14? you are good now, but if you keep it up, you will be great. my advice is to commit yourself to art. if you start with studies now, and train your mind and eyes to see, you'll be unstoppable. keep it up, go go go !
