Just to say in my first post that any of you interested from past discussions in the forum in the works of AOS and the exhibition at the Cuming Museum in 2010 that a much more affordable catalogue (not published by the museum so not an insider advert!!) relating to the exhibition has been published by Jerusalem Press. The guest co curator Stephen Pochin had a volume out at the time but this was less about the exhibition and was more a set of essays. Pochin has just published what might be termed a full and proper catalogue.
Personally I'm a huge Spare fan. I attended the Cuming exhibition a couple of years ago and loved it. I started a thread about it at the time. The Jerusalem Press books are great! Trying to create a definitive Spare catalogue is next to impossible!
I remember first coming across his work whilst browsing through the Atlantis bookshop, near the British museum. I was captivated by the draftmanship, his unique perspective on life and have been a huge fan ever since!
