I've avoided joining this site for years because I just wanted to be "good enough" for my own standards, but I realized finally that I just set the bar way too high sometimes. So here I am, posting my confused, unorganized sketches and hoping to get some useful criticism!
I am an advertising student, taking the summer off of classes so that I can work on my art and look for internships. I'm passionate about music, art, writing, design, culture, psychology, food... basically I'm curious about everything! When it comes to art, I've explored nearly everything digital - web design, graphics, animation, 3D modeling, photo-manipulation, and numerous digital illustration styles. Of course I insist on doing whatever it is I'm worst at until I can ace it, so I'm focusing on illustration.
My biggest problem with art (besides laziness and lack of a clear method) is that I find it difficult to express myself. I have so many "selves," none of which feel any more important than the others, and it's difficult to find a style or technique which uniquely appeals to me. I end up creating things that look like a random assortment of bits, styles and ideas all conflicting with each other. This is something I'm hoping to find a remedy for on CA.
Anyway, if you see me posting my crap please drop by and tell me what looks weird! I'll be hanging around trying to help people out and chilling, and stuff.
