Hey there everyone. I am looking into going to entertainment design somewhere in Los Angeles, I have family in the area which will hopefully let me stay in their place to reduce residency costs.
I've been doing some of my own research, I've been looking at the Gnomon Entertainment Design course, but I feel like a year is too sort to learn what I want. I've also been looking at Art Center College of Design, but their courses are more expensive then I think I could afford.
If anyone has any advice on good quality schools to look into, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
Naturally there's many to choose from down there. LCAD in Laguna looks like they have a solid curriculum. There is a Junior College down there (not sure which) that is reputed to have an excellent entertainment media program. Red Engine Studios is worth checking out...plus the ones you're already familiar with of course.
If I'm correct, LAAFA offers a entertainment design program.

There's also the well-known Concept Design Academy in pasadena, Kevin Chen is a most awesome guy all around. Then there's the Animation Guild in Burbank for more animation/storyboarding classes (and Glenn Vilppu). If you don't mind online, CGMA is kind of like the online version of Concept Design Academy as well.
Lastly I've also heard some good things about Otis College of Art and Design.
I'm currently a third year student at laafa so if you do want to ask questions feel free to send me a PM.
