I'm not new to CA.O but I do rarely post (sorry about that!).
I was hoping to receive a few reviews of my work, I've really been doing my best to improve in terms of technique for the past year or so.
Here are my newest pieces, in order of date completed- Thanks for taking a look!
I also create tutorial videos on digital painting and have an art blog which I update daily. Please feel free to take a look at those, too!

Well I`m still learning and not really qualified to review your portfolio. In fact you have the skill-level that I`m aiming for. Totally dig the warhammer artworks :-)
And thanks for sharing your tutorial - videos.
Thank you so much for the videos, Nick! You're the man! 5 stars from me...
Oh man i feel terrible about your job. I really like it and i admire your patience but i think you could be really awesome if you let yourself go. Most of your paintings are so still, they loose all the energy cause of your extremely controlled process (250 layer? that's quite a number...). I don't know man, you sure have more experience than i do but i really think you can do so much more than this and i think concept art and illustration are moving toward a more energy-feel way than precise and super controlled in the last years.
I'd really like to talk with you if you want to share more about this topic.
Thanks for the feedback- I really do appreciate it. I've heard the same critique before, so now I am actively trying to bring more dynamism into my compositions and try to force the perspective/movement within each scene.
I finished a more dynamic piece more recently, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Hey man, you already have a better skill than I did. I really like the last piece, it's quite dynamic and you had a great attention on the details! I think you should take care a little bit more on the background, it seems quite loose and simple compare to the characters.
Thanks for checking out my work and the critique- I'm always trying to improve so I appreciate all feedback
I definitely agree about the background on the last piece- I was running very, very low on time when working on this painting and in the end had to sacrifice a proper background in order to get the piece done in time.
I checked out your portfolio and saw you have some really great environment pieces- I will be going back to study them later for certain
Oh! , i love all
If you interested, You can contact me via pm or deviantar note.
This last piece may seem more dynamic but in reality is not, you caught your shot in the exact moment when their actions are about to clash, when the only kinetic movement is from the fire and clothes and hairs. In this way they'll never interact, they have no muscle movement energy towards each other so our brain doesn't calculate the exact moment when they're going to hit so it seems that we are looking at a separate pose fore the two of them. You know, background and little subtle details are unimportant if the viewer mind is focused on something else, they don't see other stuff when highly dynamic movement and impact is going on in the camera. Obviously if you're not drawing characters you must learn to focus the viewer to the subject and not let them wander around too much to view that there's nothing refined to see all around.
Anyway your technique is good as always, where did you learn? If i can remember well you've changed your career in the past few years, isn't it?
