Hey, yeah it's me, so i was quite lazy the holidays over, so i think i check out some other sketchbooks, see ya!
Great start on studies! Loomis is a good book. I recommend taking a good look at the diagrams he illustrates, and keep in mind the proportions.
You also seem to be experiencing the 'hairy line' problem. Be more confident with your mark making! One big stroke is usually enough. Loosen up and don't be afraid to erase!
I look forward to seeing your improvement
For only being 15 you're doing great! Keep practicing the way you are now and you will become a great artist if you stick to it. Great start and keep it up!
wuhhh update... ahh the internet is distracting me from drawing >__>
thanks for the comments ^^
By posting these studies you're really showing all of us that you're serious about this. I know studies are no fun (I personally struggle with them like NO other), but you will be thankful later! I agree with the "hairy line" comment and I have a solution for you.
Hit up posemaniacs.com and click on "30 second Drawings". Put the setting on 60 or 90 seconds and just practice some gesture drawing (if you don't know what that is, you can read about it here. Doing gesture drawings will help you loosen up and give your art a less "mechanical" feel.
Good luck and I will be following your progress! ^_^
Hey man thanks for stopping by my SB!
Looking good on the studies, how long does it normally take to draw your them?
it seems like you're drawing quite quickly with some of them, just take your time with getting the proportions right, I believe it helped me in the long run.
For 15 you're really good! I wish I'd took my art more seriously at that age, you'll be amazing by the time you reach my age.
So yeah just carry on with your studies, try and draw from your imagination to test where you feel that needs improving, and don't stop!
BABABAM! today i visited the gallery of old masters in Dresden (yeah I live in Dresden). it seemed like the woman at the cash desk was a little bit angry, because pupil under 16 can get the ticket for free hmm and I discovered that I am not interested in any religious/etc. meaning of elements in a drawings
I think the effect of the complete drawing is important.
btw i saw a sketch of Raphael for a Madonna, didn´t look different from sketches of artist on CA
lol my mother always says that I waste paper ...
Buddy, I'm eight years older than you and you're roughly around the same skill level as me. Keep doing what you're doing and by the time you're my age you're going to be a pro, and I promise you won't regret it.
Also I laughed about the face going "RAW!". Studies are great to do but they feel so tedious sometimes that it's just fun to doodle silly stuff all over them.
We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.

phew... I had to write a lot of tests at school this week and continue the next -.-" so some update
hmm I think I have to practise the face features ...
btw i will start to make bridgeman and hogarth studys (the books recently arrived *__*)
oahhhhh i am soo unmotivated ... school kills my motivation ...
Tumhoy yeah i will try it, but first I want to make more feature studies (i hate it to draw noses ..), also i think the texts of bridgeman are only a little bit complicate to understand for 9th grade english (hogarth wrote much more @__@)
yeah and some Loomis studys
btw does somone got a good technic to practise shading?
Not bad for someone who's fifteen, just keep studying.

gaaawwd I survived the first half of the school year ... WUH holydays and endless time to draw
yeah so i started to study hands with bridgeman the last 2 weeks xD
p.s. updates will come
Oh, you so good compared to your age, I hate you already
Keep up these studies!
http://www.conceptart.org/showthread.php?t=267414 - c&c welcome
yeaahhh second update today, motivation is falling
wrist and backhand studys from bridgeman
you may wonder why the second one is upside down O__O
i drew it originally this way, but it looks better in the way of the first post
Wow, the heads and hands look so complicated.
When I was 15 I don't think I would've had a diligence to do these studies. I'm struggling with them even now.
Great job) I like your devotion.
Sasha Devina thank you but i give only the impression that i am that persevering ^^
oh god... i am so damn dead ... yesterday i trained 4 1/2 hours kendo and after 12 hours sleeping i am still tired and my head... orz
okay some update, as you can see my mood changed a lot in holydays ...
i tried to improve my outlines, because they always look so untidy and i use to much pencil leads
ven- *let bow* thank you very much for your comment and the tutorial, I will try it when i got the chance ^^
phoenicorn i am lazier than you think... I am always tempted to watch anime instead of practising drawing xD
omg my holidays end ... and I drew just a few sites >__>
Great studies mate, dont forget to read all the good stuff in loomis and bridegeman, the diagrams are great but the info in the texts are just as important! Throw in some real life objects, like shoes teacups or other things to study from life and you'll be golden :>
Edward B yeah it's quite difficult for me to understand bridgeman's english @__@ i always try to fight with my dictionary against it, being that confusing i often give it up ..., loomis' text's are no problem ^^
I will try to draw some real life objects the next time
orz my computer was broken for 2 weeks, **** power supply ... so i had to live without the internet Q__Q on the other hand i could make some studys xD
hmm I realized that i am a a badass perfectionist, who needs a half hour+ for one arm O__O
orz more pc problems, I tried to clean my keyboard but now some keys dont work anylonger (trying to shower your keyboard after taking the screws out is one of the worst ideas -.-')
hmm on last saturday I was on the Leipziger Buchmesse, the second-biggest book fair of Germany, there were a lot of the German manga-artists on deviant.
and some studys
ps. i hate it to draw small <__<, starting live drawing soon
I made some decisions:
1.make more own shading instead of copying it
2. draw more with the elbow and less with the wrist
hmm but trying to draw with the elbow is quite difficult @__@ (tips are appreciated )
i am still working at my live drawing of a kendo armor glove...
btw does anyone know a good waterproof ball pen?
Kya Hill nah, i really prefer to say elbow, because it's much easier to draw regular forms like circles, if you have to focus only on one joint, besides this it's easier to draw straight and parallel this way, maybe the video, which gave me the intension do it this way, will help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3lAp...46FAAAAAAAAJAA
hmm I think I am still to slow and fuzzy...
usual bridgeman studys
maybe I should continue with live drawing ...
