Got that book as well, it's effin awesome, one of the best books on drawing the human figure IMO. Your latest figures are looking ace, great to see you tackling a variety of them, keep that up!

Greetings from Bavaria
heyho returning the favor and dropping by your SB...concerning your goals I wish you all the best and luck!
here are some links that might help you ( Elixy found them, so all credit to her )
I like these paintings.
I like the puzzle piece! Even if it's a copy: You mastered the small skincolour and blue-background differences very well. Keep on posting your sketches to show us the progress. Your skills will grow according to how many drawings you're sketching in a week. Have fun!
Thanks for posting on my sketchbook
just a crit- i like your stuff and your clearly dedicated to learning. but perhaps your learning too much unnecesary stuff, i think you should go back to basic block rendering, and get some more fundementals down, repetition is the key.
learning about deltoids is great if u workout in the gym..in terms of drawing. maybe. but not now =] - good start though!
keep posting keep posting!
Hey Geth, just returning the favor and checking out your sb. Your portrait drawings are getting better, keep it up. The one crit I have is on your spacing. Pay more attention to the measurement of the portraits (space between eyes, lips, mouth). Just being a little off throws the picture out of wack and keeps it from looking like the reference. Use something to assure the measurements between the key features of the face. Im not very good at explaining myself, but I hope this helps a bit.

Thanks for stopping by my sb.
You have high and low between works. Some are pretty nice.
Quality and quantity? I would say 80 for practicing fundamentals, 20 for quality work. As you have confidence of one skill, you move on next or attack the weakness so the ratio will be 70/30.
Keep drawing. One day you will get there.
Greak sketchbook! i can see amazing improvement in your portraits and drawings in general! and thanks for your comment on my sketchbook =] keep up the good work man
Great studies man! Those figures coming along very well. Keep em coming
Hi there! I admire your dedication. I recommend trying to vary your studies if your working at becoming a concept artist. It's also more fun than sticking to one thing at a time and maybe absorb more knowledge/skills. I learned that the hard way haha! Have fun!
Good start, just keep working at it
you're definitely doing the right thing, studying head construction!
i'm not sure you're really applying it to your own studies though, they look very different from your construction exercises. i'm having a hard time seeing any construction lines in your finished studies.
you seem to focus more on shading/blending, and i think you should focus way more on the actual construction. once you understand how the head looks in 3d space (which is what construction is all about) you'll be able to understand where shading comes from.
Your latest post really shows your progress. The 3 heads have better proportions and structure.
NeonDuck has some good advice- so I'll 2nd that.
Keep going!! it'll be worth it!!
I love metallic material in your last work!
Really nice work! Your last self portrait is a real improvement! I also really enjoy your latest piece (the digital redo). I'm excited to see more stuff!!
Hey Octis, thanks for dropping by my sb.
I see some great sketches in here. I'm jealous of your Loomis books!
Good value range on your last sketches, it would be nice to see that in your portraits as well.
Your faces are improving, however the way you draw eyes compared to the nose and mouth, needs work. Keep it up!
Your Sketchbook's looking great! Keep it up.
Wow keep them coming. i like the face/ head study and the environment study came out pretty good. i like them.
