Hey Xanthis thanks for your tips on my sb!
Interesting stuff you have here! I really do enjoy looking at your racoon character and your rendering process. He looks so cute and furry (>u<). Also, your environments have interesting amounts of contrast. For the first one, I'm not so sure what I'm looking at. I'm thinking it's both an entrance to a cave with a hole in the roof. Perhaps gridding your envi's., establishing a ground, and even making something appear in the background would establish a field of depth :> Anyways, bravo, man!
I adore your raccoon character turn around, the shading is great! Your environments are interesting, contrast is great maybe a little too much but still great. I'd like to see more.
Thank you two for your tips
I'll try to think of them in the near future.
@ mellownoiz: these first two were painted from reference, but I see what you mean!
Thank you for that tip with the grid!
Will post some new stuff in the next days!
So here's something new!
For our starting sketchgroup
adding some new stuff from two assigments from the mentoring forum:
so the first one is the reference. The second one is my attempt of drawing that picture it's something about an hour of work.
The third image are just two studies of shadows and forms, basic stuff

Long time nothing but I have to work on my diploma primaly at the moment so there is just rarely time for painting...
Anyways a little bit is better than nothing!
After the still life painting Egg tutorial on enliighten.com
Any Crits and Comments? Thank you!
Here are some Updates!
These are done almost two years ago...unfortunately I didn't do that much drawing in the meantime...but I'm ready to start off again so I'm thankful for every advice to improve!
The Orc the Library and the Marked ones are originals by me!
All other drawings have been made from reference! I Do not have the rights for these they belong to their owners (disney, blizzard entertainment and various artists) I'll remove them if it's not allowed to post these here just tell me.
More Stuff! The Library will not be finished unfortunately, but I learned a lot of it.
and the last one:
I thought I should tell you (though you may already know) that the shadow of the cube in your basic shadow sketch is really wrong, it was bugging me while considering if I should mention it or not so in case you hadn't realised it yet, yea.
Your latest basic proportions sketches seem really good, I definitely need to work on that.
Thank you for pointing that shadow thing out
Now I see it too after time went by.
Don't be scared
Critiques are always welcome and needed to improve!
