second go at speedpainting. Found a photoshop brush that reminded me of oil pastels somehow, so was a bit more comfortable. 1 hr 15. Better than 1st try anyway.
used paint dabs filter at end. is this cheating?
MrJeff - Is it cheating? As far as I'm aware there are no rules when you're painting, so I don't see how it could be a cheat, but I'd certainly question wether it's necessary - it all depends what you hope to get out of your speedpainting.
Roma - Really nice lines!
Great stuff guys. Matt Dixon, Roma , Tiger1313, and Oregano, especially great stuff. A little one that made me laugh. PS About an hr believe it or not, I'm very slow digitally. You guys humble me.

Damn Tiger1313!!! that's siccmade! what program did you use?? damn that's sweet @_@
I don't pray because I don't want God to know where I'm at.
love that sketch roma... i enjoy a good sketch of a beautiful girl as well, but i dont have a wacom so you wont see any speed painting females from me yet.

that tiger is so slick tiger1313...
sexy lines there Roma...
Matt Dixon rocks!
about 20 minutes...
Some sketches I did in the last year.
I like your style Skiatch.
Badass, BARONTiERi. Did you use multiply layers for the textures like you did at the workshop?
Omi-Kun, I use few layers, but I mix a lot of techniques. it's a blend of layers'effects with brushes and patterns... and lucky accidents.
it's important to remember how an accident happened in order to integrate it later.

LOVE AND PEACE!
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes
Thanks Omi-Kun. I like the portait you posted. It's detailed but rough.Pretty cool.
The pictures by Barontiere are imazing. This thing you said about the accidents is true. Often when I keep on trying and searching for a mood, things happen. At the end the result was'nt created, in a way it created itself. ( Hope my english is enough to understand what I'm trying to say...)
Mostly I don't remember my accidents. There is a example in the creature thread. I couldn't draw the BG in the slime-monster-picture again.
Amazing job everybody! A quick sketch, 5 min for sketch 10 min PS no Wacom, unfortunately just mouse.
5 minutes without model / Painter7
No reference. Drawing was about 45 minutes, and color was another 45 minutes. I'm getting better at seeing where greens, blues, and violets are suppose to be on figures. It's making more sense to me how colors work together in general.
studie taken from a pic, 35 to 40 min. in ps. Working hard to get better at painting.
If there's anything fluffier than a cloud, I don't wanna hear about it.
nuther feeble effort. 1hr
hi, like your sketch. Have you ever heard of a british comicbook artist called ian gibson? He used to do a lot of stuff for 2000ad. Your figuative work reminds me of his. Check it out-you might like it
about 40 minutes or so...
Here's my first ever speed painting, ca 80-90 min. in PS7

Bit over an hour PS7
