Heyhey, as promised, I'm back with some more stuff for you all^^
I'll try and keep it structurized, so I'm gonna start off with some 'old' stuff -hehe- that I really like. A while ago, I've attended an exhibion about the eveningclass I've been following all year now, they've asked me to make a poster for 'm and this first one is what I made eventually ![]() There were also a few other of my works displayed there as well, hence the three other images posted. From up first till last: 1- Poster for 50 years Syntra West 2- 4 posters I made on how to draw a 'simple' cartoon in 4 steps 3- My finals for the exam this year was posted there as well, this one is the cover from it. We got to do a single page on the subject of books. 4- ... and this is the comic I made about that ^^

WOooOOOooo !!! I'm on page 6 now ^^ Hell yeah
![]() Hmm.. anyways, on to the next. I've been apllying for several months now for a job, doing multiple at the same time, one of them is this. I got the idea a month ago to applie for a job in a local magazine reviewing games. So I made this 4-page review about Bioshock2, all done in Indesign, I'm actually very happy about it, I have to say ![]() It's all done in the style of PCGameplay's magazine, for anyone who knows the magazine here in Belgium. Also explains as to the why it is done in my local language ^^ Srry for the rest of the world - I'm not gonna translate it all ![]()

Now for the last one, I've been creating a multi-page portfolio lately, it's still under construction. And however I'm not gonna post it here, I do want to show you these wip's - they're about a caricature depicting me and done by me. And damn, I'm proud of it, I might happen to dislike this one already in about a year, but so far, I just love it ^^
Hence me showing the process of getting to the final image. Cheers ![]()

Heyhey,
was thinking about to make a fun, light subject for in between and eventually I came up with this one Was really fun! I got inspired by Bobby Chiu's sketches, which are really well done, so I decided to give it a try as well! I should be definitely doing more of these Learned about creating fur too, difficult process, wrist actually hurts and got stuck on my wacom 'cause hands were getting too sweaty ^^Anyways, hope you like it ![]() Cheers

wow you're really improving! Cool idea with the portfolio. In some of your speedpaints tho, i would focus more on the illustration itself, refining values and stuff and then add fonts to it, because now it feels like it's all done in such a hurryand not being very well-integrated anymore (eventho it's a speedpaint)

Chris Sanders Interview and painting in one day
@ Lav: Thanks hun for the compliment!
I'll keep your advise in mind, since speedpaints aren't my strongest point ^^ But I'm working on it and I'll definitely will try to lessen down the fonts a bit ^^Heyhey, Today was, at the least said, exhausting! A week or so ago, Bobby Chiu officially announced an interview on Sketchoholic.com with Chris Sanders, today known best for his contrubution on ‘How To Train Your Dragon’. Together with these interviews, sketchoholic usually also announces a grand contest with it. And when I say grand contest, I mean it! Over 150 participants were contributing to the contest. Not exactly your average speedpaint I’d say. Yet, then again. That’s exactly what I did today ^^ Being very profession and all, I managed to totally and completely forget about it! So here’s what I did. As soon as I could I started painting today. And I haven’t stopped. I kept going on and managed to pull it of in less then a day, for where there actually was a complete week’s worth of time in the first place. Not that big a deal you’d say, true. If it wasn’t for the fact I’ve never done this before in that great amount of detail. You probably won’t see it immediately, but I’ve litterally put a great deal of work in this one. I’ll probably overthrow this one with a better painting in about a few months maybe, but untill then, I’m happy to present my newest creation, titled: “Nightmares”. Cheers

Hey! Sci-fi art!
Heya all,
as of a few weeks ago, I thought it would be nice if I would actually have some sort of sci-fi looking material in my portfolio. I know, most of the time I’ve been doing fantasy-related stuff and cartoony-looking paintings. Although I am perfectly capable of doing sci-fi paintings, I just never preferred it. For the simple reason I like to create paintings I actually like. Some wise guru (whose name I can’t remember) once said that if you paint what you like, it will be reflected in the painting. That’s all very good and all, but then again, if you follow that strain of thought, people will never actually get to see what you’re capable of. So, in the spirit of that newfound fact, I humbly present 5 new pieces of sci-fi looking art. Hope you guys like it. Cheers

Your layouts work out well. Granted I can't read them, but thats because I'm a single language American. Anyway, your concept work needs some anatomy/form study, but your comics are really working for you.

That together with my speedpaints offcourse ^^ @ Jushra: Yeah, I'm sorry 'bout the language :s as adressed here above, I'm working on the anatomy, never been quite good at it and it's still showing I guess :s Thanks anyway for the advice ![]() Anyway, been working a lot today (yeah, right ^^) got me doing some speedpaints again - topics were waterfall daredevil, victorian fancy boy and lumberjack. Shameless imitating Louis Royo for the sake of ... well ... me.
Heyhey,
the days I was imitating other artists are a long, forgotten past. I've been so worked up into my own work lately I just can't find the time to actually study other people's work. Yet, at some point, I tend to get bored. One of those moments is when I'm using the public transportation around here. So, what does an artist do then? Use that moment to it's fullest ! ^^ And that's what I've been doing lately. I've bought two of those little sketchbooks (Moleskin, for those of you whom wanted to know) a while ago and was never using them except for when I got ideas I wanted out of my head. So I ended up using them for what they're actually supposed to be for. The artist I've chosen to study from is Louis Royo, since .. well .. he's awesome! I've always wanted to study his work and I'm not as good as I'm supposed to be when it comes to anatomy. So without further ado, the sketches.Cheers

Interview with Charles Santoso
Heyhey big world out there,
In the spirit of ‘standing still is the same as going backward’ I just can’t seem to stop participating in different contests. Schoolism.com and Sketchoholic.com seem to pick in on this curious hobby of mine. Lately I’ve been uploading a fair amount of speedpaints and especially anything related to them. The newest, being this one. I’ve been working my — off and I have to say, I am pleased. Saying that doesn’t come easily (being an artist and all) as I never seem to be perfectly happy about what I make. Somehow, I believe I’ll never be able to create the “perfect” painting, sketch or anything graphic related. Although, in all honesty, this one turns out to be getting close. Theme this time was anything related to a nocturnal setting. This for the very reason that Bobby Chiu was interviewing concept artist/ illustrator Charles Santoso, one of the creators of “The Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole”. It was a very fun, although late, interview. It seems, being up at 1am isn’t that fun, when you’re tired enough already …

Your very own personal mug!
Hey all,
I’m posting here today the results of some hard labour work. I’ve had kind of an unusual request some time ago. By unusual I mean, something I’m not used to being asked for. That is to say, a good friend of mine asked if I could design herself and her family, for her, on a series of mugs. I promptly said yes and designed her two series of mugs as a christmas present. After all these weeks, I can finally show it to the world. After all, christmas is long gone now and we’re allready on the verge of another year. So, with that in mind, I wish you people out there all a happy new year’s eve and a very creative future! Happy new year folks ^^

Heya all,
Portret of Bradley Cooper, in the role of Phil in 'The Hangover'. Approx. 3 days of work - should be working faster yet wanted to convey that macho-look he's got. Let me know what you guys think of it. Cheers

Heya all,
highly influenced by the movie 'City Of Ember' this time, been reading the four novels as well - just love the concept of an underground city in a post-apocalyptic setting. The movie could've been done a bit better though, especially when it came to the movieposter then. That's why I decided to give it my own touch; this is the result. I especially wanted to convey a gritty, grudgy, banged-up feeling; like it's a drawing that's been made a couple of years ago and has been lieing in the sun for a while. Also, the particular line 'For the good of all mankind' intrigued me a lot, hence I really wanted to put that in there as well. Same goes for Ember's logo that you can see throughout the entire movie. I hope you'll be able to reconise the main actors from the movie as well, since it's been a while I had to draw a couple of realistic faces. Hope you'll like it, Cheers
