I like story telling and art, so I wanted to go into animation, but our family budget does not allow me to go to school for $14k a semester with additional fees four courses and other stuff (The tuition for School of visual art in NYC/ my parents live on minimum wage). In the end I am going to go to a public school (CUNY), but they only have graphics art, although they have elective courses in animation I doubt it will be as intensive as a private school's courses. So I am wondering what I can do with some experience in graphic arts in terms of animation. Should I just drop out and self educate on animation? Also, what elective courses should I take if I were to go on with the public school?
I already have some experience in drawing, and I want to continue drawing, but graphic art doesn't seem drawing intensive.
