The following statement was jointly issued by Jason Manley, President of TAD and Founder of ConceptArt.org and Chris Hatala, President of Massive Black, Inc. and Coro Kaufman, Studio Art Director of Massive Black, Inc. to the worldwide creative community on June 29, 2010 at 8:00 p.m.:
TAD, Massive Black and ConceptArt have a shared history, and there is significant crossover among the creative professionals who participate in all of our communities and enterprises. We concluded this year that management of each of these endeavors should be separated so that each could thrive in its own right and fulfill its own unique mission.
In some respects the separation process has been remarkably smooth, and in others was less smooth. The latter has been the subject of some recent commentary and confusion online.
The leadership of TAD, Massive Black and ConceptArt met tonight in San Francisco. We reached complete agreement on how to move our endeavors forward, positively and aggressively, into the future. We want to assure all constituencies -- students, clients, friends, community members, everyone -- that we are in synch, that all commitments to TAD students will be honored and we recognize that members of our communities may speak their minds from time-to-time and that truthful and lawful communication must be embraced.
The leadership of TAD, Massive Black and ConceptArt are available to respond to any inquiries and concerns from their respective participants, students and constituencies.
Onward and upward!
