thank you very much, AlexTooth! i think i have given up on the spear-pic, hahah. ;D
here´s some character design stuff, a self portrait from mirror and a portrait from photo!
portrait from photo:
I love your bird value painting. It's nice to see your busy from the get go. I'm just started on here. It's addictive isn't it?
I also love your portraits. I think your self portrait could do with a higher contrast in values. Kind of like the one from the photo and maybe some different types of line in your rendering. Maybe some loose but smaller squiggly ones in their might loosen up the hair line?
Hey your work is better than mine so who am I to say!
The girl robot has some similar hooky features to a silhouette character design I did last week at work during lunch. I'll post it up tomorrow.

I like the self p and portrait studies! Maybe more values and contrast though? Overall, good work
Love your studies man, but the concept art and stuff from your head feels kinda bland.
(Wish I could tell you more in depth what I dont like about it instead of just dissing, but im not able to give you any advice at my current level.)
Keep going duder!
I really like the last portraits, lots of personality
Interesting Gallery dude!
Ive just started a new sketchbook for 2010 crits would be most appreciated!
Looking for Feedback! Please visit my sketchbook..
great start for 2010! the photo study look better and better, and you def seem to be getting tons out of them, that's something i'm really missing :/
you have a cool sense of shapes, patterns and graphics going on, but it seems to lie on a flat base. You could give more solidity in your characters (maybe) by working more on the construction, right after choosing your thumbnail, putting it in a low opac level and drawing the form and structure on a separate level, otherwise you risk just polishing the flat (silhouette) thumbnail drawings.
go go go and best wishes!
Man, this last SP makes you look like a young James Dean..
Great light there too Love the personal pieces
You're improving like crazy. Your sense of depth and form is great. Also, if your SP is accurate (and judging from the other portraits, it is), you're a cutie - not the point, I know. Still :p
TheGnoll's advice is very sound and I agree with it.
Keep it up, you're doing great!
hääääärlig stil! sista porträtt på james dean är riktigt fint också. bra känsla för form och färg i många av dina verk...! keep it up man = )
looking for freelance work & commissions!
Så många sköna idéer
I also like the expressive lines and the general playfulness of it all, keep it up!

Jason: thanks man! mostly practice, and Bridgman´s books. and critique and input from fellow artists!
Gnoll: holy crap. spot on advice, mate. really appreciate it! i really should try to get more volume and construction in to my concepts. thank you!
Quike: hahah, i wish i looked like that! sorry, no self portrait, it´s a study from a photo of a young James dean. :]
Giorge: thanks! i´ll try!
Ariel9: hehe, thanks girl!
tja88: fänx! will do!
stuffff from mind:
study from photo:
good stuff in here, and a good start to 2010!
I like your stuff from the mind, they seem better than the practice stuff from ref
But that's probably because you don't like doing those as much?
Also, what theGnoll says: I fully agree, and steal this advice while I'm at it.
En del delikata bilder här må jag saga.
Lots of great ideas. Those bald fleshy guys look cool. I have noticed that you tend to give characters long legs. This can be a stylistic choice but it seems awkward here because their arms look short.
Wooo.. Michael Caine playing sherlock holmes? Really nice one
As usual, I really like your personal pieces
You seem to get the values very well. The studies from pictures look very good.
