Thanks a ton for the Crit Jon. Yours and Carl's critique was invaluable. Like I mentioned the opportunity to speak with you guys like that would have normally consist of taking a flight and spending money on a hotel and a convention pass. $150 was a very modest price for what we got.

Hi Jon.
First of all I would like to say that I'm such a huge fan of your work. When people ask me which artists inspire me the most, I always mention you as one of them.
It's because of that I chose you and Carl for the live portfolio review opportunity. The crit you gave me (and that of Carl as well of course) is of such great value to me. Such usefull information that will really help me grow. I can't wait to see the recorded session back and let it all sink in slowly (kinda hard listening and trying to type at the same time )
Unfortunately I lost my connection right there at the end when you (or maybe it was Carl) asked me what I wanted to do with my life. I guess what I wanted to say is, well, the work you're doing would be my dream job
Thank you again for this opportunity.

p.s I thought it was great that you remembered the piece I did for Last Man Standing 3 when you were one of the judges.

cheers!

Rudy

Still around and still recovering from the crit day

Thank you all for checking in on this thread, I hope to update soon with new work. Just had my head shaken around by a national geographic illustration, trying to save it and not feel too much like a hack.

Wow! This is truly inspired work. Absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking. I love the narrative in each of these even if I don't know the full story. It's evocative and mysterious which keeps me coming back for more. I've been diggin' on your Revelations book too which has been a great source of inspiration in the last few weeks. Thanks again for sharing your new work.

Gushing over and out

I've written a little image search app on my PC, for my own use, where I save and tag images from hundreds of different artists and check them out when I need inspiration. Half of the time I just load it up and type "foster".
