About the Vietnam one... The shadow between the first and second guy is a bit sloppy and is one of the largest, darkest spots of your painting so it draws a lot of attention. Also, the space between the second and third guy has messy edges. You don't need to make them sharp or anything, but those black lines need to blend in more. Right now those lines read as being an outline drawn on top of the guys (which they are, but it kills your illusionism). Last thing is that the dude in the middle's collar bones don't line up with the tops of his shoulders like they should.
Nice job, it's really coming along well.
Edit: Really like the new sketch too.

Hey there, thanks for stopping by at my sketchbook and leaving a comment.
I like how expressive your characters look and how you do cloth weight. I have a lot of trouble with that but you do it really well. Totally digging the military-themed stuff and the story the images convey. Colour studies look good.
Keep it up!
There's a sort of gritty realism in your pieces that continues to astound me. Nice work.
Thanks for dropping by.
Interested stuff, really sticking to your guns on the military theme (pun intended)
I get this sort of rough feel from everything, the line art could use some tightening, and I also feel like you render seperate elements, which don't really blend as a whole.
If a soldier has a green uniform, some of that color should reflect on his weapon and his skin, while red from his skin will bounce on his uniform.
Prometheus has a good lighting tutorial
Wow at your recent pieces! I would love to see the one with the three soldiers finished up nice and tight. It's looking rather nice right now - it just needs more complementary colors to make it richer and realistic. The one with the medieval soldiers and the dragon is hilarious. (Hell yeah, bail!)
Keep at it. It'll make for an awesome piece.
Hey there!! thanks for stopping by my sketchbook and for ur advices! I definitely need them! ur sketchbook is amazing pal! the texture of these soldiers clothes looks sooo good I can nearly feel the dirt on their clothes xD!!

Nice stuff here. Like that dragon scene esp.
About the pic with the three soldiers, I'm thinking maybe all the colors blend together a little too much, so that the figures don't really pop. Perhaps you could blurr the bg a bit and put some slight atmospheric perspective in there with less contrast and cooler colors
just a thought
Really like this one. The last piece is coming out great. Awesome imagination work!
Hey bro, it's lookin real nice. Something feels off with the the middle guy's head though. I think you haven't quite gotten his features aligned properly. His mouth seems like it's slightly too far left and in the wrong perspective compared to his nose, and the shape of the back of his head doesn't really work. I think you nailed it with the previous version of his face (actually, I think that version is a lot more interesting), but it looks like you changed the angles of certain of his features and not others. His friends look awesome though. Right on.
jackpot: thanks, ill probably dull down the background in my next take on it
thx burial: i think the other face had similar problems tho, i was switching between the 2 and really cant tell which is better, plus the second version is very rough the first the mouth is too low and sloped i felt neways..
i really enjoy looking at your work...looking forward to more
