Wasp *** Guillom's Sketchbook ***

Hi everybody !

I've decided to work a bit more on my 2D skill this year , since i've been doing ...... hummm nothing
I'll post some new stuff , studies ( mostly ) concepts and maybe some 3d
My old sketchbook sucks , that's the main reason for a new one

Are these people related to each other? Most of them have pretty short calves.

xsdk01 : Actualy they are since they're all from a photoshoot session about street fashion ( check it out on google if you're interested )
About the calves i must say that i'm not really good with anatomy yet, that's why i try to draw as much as i can .
The fact that some are wearing baggy trousers doesn't help too

here is another study from ref and 3 concepts from me

Wow! I didn't see your old sketchbook, but this one is looking great! Are you using photoshop or painter? I still have difficulty sometimes telling the difference.

I would watch the symmetricality of the faces- some look a bit lopsided.
Keep up the good work!

Your pencil characters are sweet man! Hey when you're doing color studies, do some from life too. Helps way more

Pretty good start to a sketchbook. Keep working those figures and faces and make sure you keep posting.... you'll look back in a few pages time and really see how far you've come, which is always inspiring. ;-)

seems like u got good control with your hand. you got some nice portrait works also.

only ... with the guys mouth in post 16, i think theres something wrong. unless that was the awkward position he was actually in. but just have a second look at it and see whats wrong with it.

Reject-D : I will

gkrit : thanks dude, i wish i could have even more control on that damn hand ! The guy you just mentioned in post 16# is a study from a photo, the shot was taken when the guy was opening his mouth and at the same time shaking his head. The very fast shutter speed of the camera just froze the movement which gave this odd shape to the face.
