Whats up guys, I figured I would start posting everything I did each week from now on (well except not finished sketches and paintings unless I dont want to work on them anymore). So here's what I made in the past 4 days since I started summer break..
my scanner isnt hooked up I should probably do that sometime so I can add all that too.

wow thats actually not as much as I thought it would be....I need to work more digitally.
to make up at least a little for the lack of awsome I just presented here I made another 40 min sketch, at least I dont feel that bad anymore. Now i need some sleep.
1hr 6min. Maybe I should have spent a little more time on it...
Today was really unproductive...I was making bread and damn that stuff takes long to make, so that wasted a good part of my day, well I got this done and thank god I have an entire summer break to do more.
Hey those are some great things! I really like your aqua-stuff, but I have to say, the frowny guy, second to last, I think is my favorite.
Hey nice new stuff.
that last creature is great!
i'd say spend some more time rendering the anatomy and textures for these guys.
check out this tutorial for some inspiration and an idea as to what the hell i am talking about.
Mrbloober: Thanks, yeah that guy came out really well.
Aj: cool Ill check it out.
Now more from today, I'm trying to limit myself to around one hour on all these so I start working faster.
After watching a tutorial that AJtron suggested I tried a new approach and I think it yielded some nice results, 45 min-1hr im not sure. I also did a masters studie of caravaggios work and realized how out of whack my colors have gotten, so I limited myself to greens and a hint of orange and yellow.
I'm feeling more and more inept as I look at what I produce vs my contemporaries at other art schools, so I'm gona be increasing my workload over the next couple of weeks to try and play catch up. Well for now here's this piece I did in roughly 2 hrs, probably a little more than that, im not sure.
Some nice work here. There all have alot of 'fun' in them.
Would love to see a few more refined pieces, instead of worrying about speed, but hey, it's a sketchbook.
my sketches here... http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=92997
www.sevans.co.nz , visit them or a puppy dies!
Wow, very impressive creature designs! The sci-fi suits are pretty neat too Please keep it up!
really cool,I like those aqua creatures
Thanks No.Verdikt. I like your stuff too. Do you go to AVAA every week? I'm definitely hooked. I'll prob go to some of the sundays but all of the Mondays I was the asian guy in the far left.
Sketchbook group! Omi-kun
Sevans: Thanks Man, well my problem so far has been that most of my pieces are too refined and too long so I started doing faster stuff as of recently since that seems to be more appreciated in the concept art industry, which is what I want to do.
Diorz: yeah I should probably get back to that if I want to be part of the DEEP competition.
Omi-Kun: No that was my first time going, AJtron invited me to come...wait are you the guy that works with him? I should go to the monday sessions, the posses you got from that look pretty awsome.
and now more, these past two days I've been watching lots of tutorials and trying to refine my technique which ended in many road side accidents so I dont have much to show for it.
More, one of them is just playing around with speed painting techinques the other are crate designs for a mod I'm helping out with, theyre supposed to look very heavy, very UT and Quake-ish.
The last stand of the vampires, Knowing defeat is unavoidable they resisted all day within castle walls and lead a desperate strike back at night. They push all till dusk where the Count manages to slay the king, raising the severed head high and giving of a last war cry as the rising sun strikes him. With the death of the king and the lack of vampire funds the country fell into a long dark age.
2hr speed paint, the story kinda grew as it came along.
I spent most of the day at my mothers store helping out with all kinds of stuff which gave me very little time to work today. So heres what I got after 2 hrs and a little change, I'll keep working on it tomorow.
2-3 more hours of work today, I destroyed a lot of what I had already set up to allow me to fix some of the mistakes and I think it came out better for it, some things I liked more in the original but I'll keep working on it.
holly crap its been a week since I last posted, I really dont know what I've been doing this week besides being lazy....that needs to change. Well I worked a little today and then theres this 2hr speed paint I did. Enjoy, crits and all other comments welcome. I think the cropping could have been better....
trying to set a mood, also I need to increase the saturation in my pieces to give them more pop, make them more eye catching.
Man I have been slacking on my social skills. Sorry about the long string of absolutely nothing I just finished up college and now got settled into my job, no worries I'm still actively drawing all the time and getting better.
