Maxe-Thanks mate, glad you liked it. I enjoyed that one. I'll try doing more of those in the future
Things are kinda choppy lately; I don't even remember when some of these are from. Just the routine drawing outtings, either a tuesday or a thursday. Thought these were presentable. Looking back at them now I think those croquis turned out pretty nice, didn't seem so at the time.
Last one was done for SP day, Nov 1st; it felt pretty good to do extended drawing.
Last one was awesome!
Good stuff! Gotcha catch up.
man... time flies.
gil and mac thanks buds. I'll see you when I get back for the next meet
Justin - thanks.
some scans, the brush pens are the most recent. Broke down and ordered one of those pentel jobbies after drooling all over Brat77's sketchbook. These are in rough chronological order
oh, I had your sketchbook bookmarked, the title of the bookmark was "awesomeish-book" so I clicked it and I couldn't think of what book it was, ha ha, it turned out to be a good one awesome stuff man =)
Now i need to change the title from Awesomeish book to Hito's Black book then, to remember it next time
I like this one alot =) cool http://www.studiosojourn.com/sketch/251.jpg
and i LOVE this one, awesome(ish ) lines ! ttp://www.studiosojourn.com/sketch/244.jpg
ohwell man, Just keep it up and i'll try to drop in more often =)
*I do to much emotions....*
Dile - Cheers man, Thanks for dropping by! I looked at #244 again and shit I don't even know if I could pull that off again.
Not much worth posting. These I liked, despite some obvious mistakes.
Your pen sketches are lovely. Really good linework, nice and controlled.
Some ideas for Dominance War 2, online 3d game art comp.
Such line confidence! Really great to see your progression, man. It's been a while since I've had the pleasure. How are things? Are you working? We need to have an AIM discussion sometime very soon my friend. It's about time to catch up! I can't wait to see how the 3D comp goes as the design (5) looks freakin' awesome. I'd love to have a spikey ball thing attached to my hand! At least on one of 'em! You've really inspired some sketchbook activity for today, Hito! Thanks! Hope you're doin' great.
Yo zebz, I been good. I'll try to get online after work. shoot me a IM if you see me on, i'll do the same.
Imagine Brian Blessed's face on legs with arms and wielding a flail of a severed head; and a big plasma gun attached to the other arm; that's the picture.
Great updates! But please man, post more!
I wish I could give you some crits, but your obviously aware of the mistakes your doing, and you seem to make up for them in the next post , always, thats a really good thing ! Nice observation!
Keep at it!
Dile - thanks man, you're makin me feel warm and fuzzy haha. I'm glad you're getting something good out of all this.
just a couple sketches worth posting from the last few weeks. the blurry spots are because the sketchbook paper warped alot.
Nice studies, man. About AIM... I'm hardly ever on anymore except at work. If you want to get a hold of my shoot me an AIM at SimuRyanB. I'm on there several hours a day. See ya, man. Keep the updates comin'!
some lovin in the box o' mud
Hey gil, thanks for lookin. I see some new stuff with your site. Getting into Zbrush eh? How's that to your liking?
This is what I've been wasting my time on. no sketches I'm afraid for another week at lteast. Deadline is 26th; only a few days time.
just thought i'd pop over here (didn't know you had a sketchbook!) and follow up how nicely i think you finished out that DW2 entry. some bold and unusual color choices particularly, and you detailed out the mesh pretty nicely.
that and i'm quite happy to check out the rest of your work, it's always good to be able to put any given artist's work into a greater context. just looking at a post of theirs in a 3d forum really doesn't tell the whole story, does it?
gil - thanks man.
bryan - Uh... no idea. Its spread out over 6 weeks, maybe 15 to 20 hours a week on average, plus maybe 40 or 50 hours on the last weekend Sat/Sun/Mon before the deadline? fuck I don't remember. I'm just grateful I finished something
Gauss-Thanks gauss. And thanks again for the indepth crit at the beginning. couldn't have done it without your thoughts. Its definitely pushing my envelope.
Just some semi-recent life drawings; pictures taken by guy from the group. I don't know if it means I'll be posting more here. I'll try to at least. all are 20 min, and riddled with mistakes.
Kicking ideas around for CGChat comp #39; Mobster Mugshot bust highpoly sculpt.
