Hey guys, it's been months since I've posted anything. There is so much good stuff popping up on here, as always.
Anyways, here's a test illustration I did for High Five Games, needless to say I didn't get the job. It was fun to do though.
They sent me the line drawing and I colored it in Illustrator.
Thought that some of you might like it. C&C welcome.
cool, everything is extremely shiny and bright i always have a hard time doing that in illustrator.
WAM - comments and critiques are always greatly appreciated, i'm just trying to get better.

I love that style for chidren!
The cherry doesn't look right. I think it's because of the outline being too thick (thicker than the outline of the ant's hand so is screwing with the depth). Also, the thumb looks a little odd.
But nicely drawn and coloured.
There's no place like bed.
I like the style. The cherry doesn't look right because it has a big yellow highlight around it. This should be white or a blend from red to white. I don't see anything yellow around it to make the highlight that color. Other then that, its great!
I don't spellcheck...
Hey, thanks for the replies. I agree with what you all said about the cherry. Since this was for a casino game company, I looked at a lot of reference for what they usually make the cherries look like. To make it stand out more I gave it a thicker outline. I don't think it's a good fit with the ant, though. Yeah, I'm not sure where that yellow is coming from either, . Thanks for the pointers guys!
