As I'm coming into my last year of university I'm thinking about making some changes to my personal website chrisdennycreative.com
If you could, I would appreciate some C&C about the design, layout, etc. As for the actual content, I plan to filter out some of my earlier student work and crap stuff as I make more.
Any comments welcome
Wow looks great. Clean and simple. But maybe make the first page slide a little bit faster. Because they could see more in details on your portfolio page. It's best just give a little preview and then change into another artworks.
Love it C:
EDIT: Also I realised your menu bar shown parts of the content page. Are you really trying to make it like that or do you want the menu bar on the toppest?
Thanks for the reply! I will make the slides transition faster (I agree with you) and see if I can randomize the slide order. The header is purposely a bit lower, but now looking at it I think I need to either bring it down more or fill the gap.
I see a lot of artists's websites and yours looks pretty much in-line with the rest. This could be a good thing (as there are some wild designs that get in the way of the portfolio) but it can be a bad thing as you blend too much.
Its so simple but efective , DID you this with Photoshop?
Its simple and nice, works well for a portfolio website.
I like the background - to me it feels like an extension of the first work you have in the animation/slideshow.

"Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach" - bullshit.

Looks great! My only beef with it is the use of the Table for your navigation links at the top. I'd have forgone the double-column navigation layout and opted for either a one-column or one-row navigation bar using the < nav > tag -- this tells the search engines that these are your navigation links.
Call me old-fashioned, but tables should only be used for tabular information, and not for presentation (that goes for all HTML elements).
Again, the design is awesome!
