Oops, I forgot all about this place. A little over a year since I last posted, and I haven't done much sketching in that time. I shall have to try harder. These are all recent within the last six months-ish.
Attempted chiaroscuro effect with charcoal.
Perspective practice. /shootsselfintheface
My attempts at forest scenery never look like forests. Or even remotely resemble scenery, haha!

Hi there, welcome back ^__ ^
If you are screaming and pulling your hair out, I suggest going back to the fundamentals. Always go back to the icky fundamentals as fallback.
Since everything relies on them, and branches out from there and a clear understand can only aid you
What I would suggest for you would be to get a firmer grasp on form and how they are implied with value before going into colors. Since it seems you are trying to do faces, but they are inaccurately described currently. What would help with that is to break down the face into basic geometric shapes..simplify simplify simplify.
With bad values colors will never work to describe the form accurately.
And always try to push yourself, like zou said earlier in the year
Keep it up and I hope you stay this time~
