Hey guys. My name's Dominic (Previously known as Droid), I'm 19, and I live in Scotland. I started this sketchbook when I was 17, and focused mainly on signatures and such. Much better stuff on the newer pages, and not a signature in sight. Here's the original post, and then some of my work so far:

Hi and thank you for helping me embed, hahaha, I've seen your SB before and really love the banner ads you do!!! I think you need to sketch more too, you have some mad talents and thanks again, your on the right track!!!!
Got plenty of sketches needing scanned, but for now, animations.
Requested by a friend, Scuzzy.
Scuzzy is the Site Admin on another site, Slynet is the Forum Admin, and Ethan is a cocky Moderator.
Are you a Muse fan? They're one of my favorite bands and I listen to them all the time when I draw.
As far as sketching goes, Dr. Manhattan looks just like the original panel except for that bulging forehead. I did a lot of copies of my favorite artists (and still do sometimes), but copying their finished artwork line for line doesn't serve you as well as life and gesture drawing. I know it's boring and it doesn't impress your non-artist friends as much as a decent copy of a recognizable character/artist, but it's something all your heroes had to do.
Andrew Loomis and George Bridgman's books get mentioned here to the point of cliche, but that's because they're the best. When I met some of my favorite artists at Comic Con, they all mentioned Loomis/Bridgman by name, as well as How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way.
I apologize if this sounds like a condescending old man lecture (I'm only 29), but I wish I'd known about this stuff and really used it when I was your age.
Now get back to work and stay off my lawn!
Check out my Sketchbook and I promise I'll return the favor.
Muse are my favourite band, they can really inspire me to keep working at whatever I'm doing as I listen. Gutted that I missed them when they played in Glasgow's SECC this month.
I understand where you're coming from, but most of my actual sketching and studies are done on A3 and kep in my school folio.
I'll sneak in a camera at some point though.
I'm copying styles at the moment to try find a style that comes naturally to me. I've never been one for realism, and so I'm just checking out some of the stylized stuff out there.
Comics and graphic novels in particular inspire me.
I'll try get the books off Amazon, and thanks for the advice.
Very good work, the sigs are awesome! Keep up the good work!
First of all is everyone just freakin perfect. It takes me awhile to finish a real sketch...so I am only posting sketches that I do in about 30 secs to 10 mins.
Heres what I like about your work, confidence, clarity, story, movement, creative push, expressive qualities and really good use of space.
Dumb question alert...what are you using to render your work?
I am just at the edge of the abyss...
Art Dump now methinks.
Some of the stuff for my High School stuff, my theme is Jekyyl and Hyde.
Chose it myself, all their options were boring.
Some quite old stuff here, newest things are the hands and the life drawing sketch, and even those are at least a month ago.
Newer stuff coming soon.
Your banners are really compelling. I've never really used photoshop before so it's a bit hard to appreciate the process, but I can tell it takes some practice.
As far as the drawings go, they seem really tight, almost like you labored over them rather than took your time to enjoy them. The lines just seem a bit rushed, and I'm here to tell you to take your time on your drawings. It doesn't hurt to spend a very long time on a piece of art; in fact, it's pretty honorable.
Anyway, I'm in the same boat as you: young and adventurous. I'll try and stop by from time to time.
Keep drawing buddy!
Thank you both for your comments, and I'll try take more time for my work in future Nutella.
Here's my progress for POW, I cleaned it up, added a face and basic colouring.
Any comments appreciated.
Work more on gesture. it's URGENT, you'll definitively see an improve after this. And leave color or even rendering for later.
