nice one. Be carefull of using the sorta black under the bealt and in the hair. Instead use a dark brown. The hand looks still a lil weird but yea I know the feeling of having enough of it heh.
Really some great artwork in here! You really have a high level for your age!
Keep it up mate!

yowzas, digging that posture Miles son!
some things you may want to look into:
*edges - Soft 'n Hard. It can make or break a painting!
*colours - Experiment more here. Different tones and hues
*depth - Shapes! Remember you want to try creating a focal point (area of importance). Goes hand in hand with the top two! major detail here, others... not so much.
*lighting - Strengthen! again, hand in hand with depth!
Keep going hot stuff
jordy Yeah the black was my fault for messing with the levels. Trying to get it to look better on my laptop screen which is calibrated wrong. To be honest I should have just left it.
Ming thanks, yeah it does.
Coinpurse thanks man, solid advice. I'll make sure my edges are better next time
lilnebo thanks girl, coming along yourself
Some pencil character for tonight. I love spending a long time on these. This is currently done in a Moleskin so around A5 size. I'm gonna buy some bigger A4 Bristol paper on the weekend and try thumbnailing out then doing a big pencil project. Should be fun
My annoyance with this one is that I feel the arm might get a little lost in with the leg. not sure, I think the thick line helps.
Nice one miles, really killin it this time!
It looks aweasome i love how much detail you put in your work!.
No matter how hard i try i can not put in any detail that has any meaning.
Glad you think i have some improvment.
If i get any where near as good as its all good!
Keep it up bro and go on msn!
Ming thanks man
Jordy thanks man, but no
Matt Haha which ones, the weapons of the feet things? Thank you man
lilnebo thanks, I have trouble with putting meaningful detail in. Try to really think through what they would need on there costume and yeah, just enjoy it.
More pencil work, don't like this as much as the other one. Done after watching Mad Max 2, an awesome movie for those who haven't seen it. I wanted to make it looks like the detail served some kind of purpose, with mixed results.
I never saw the movie, will look out for it
I think the drawing is nice. Nicely detailed.
Keep it up!

Your doing really great though keep it up
Hey cuzz, im liking the tribal war man whatever hes supposed to be xD
anyways ive noticed that with his crossbow, the brace holding the string closest to his head arcs too much to meet it with an accurate shot. anyways. keep up this damm good work boooy
NO Way MILES!!! i forgot to say this earlier But i just realised
You've been Doing all this Hard Practising For A YEAR!!!! woooooooooooo It's your art annversiery LAWL anywayz just thought to let you know you've come a long way
Great characters Miles, like them, with wich kind of pencils do you use for them example? Cause I got problems with lines en shading stuff like that.
0_0 thanks all for the replies
Surion thanks man, you should. If you live in the USA its called 'the road warrior' or somethin
lilnebo haha yeah screwed around with the colours in Ps and thought it looked a bit cool, thanks
Harry_ haha yeah its kind of post apocalyptic punk cliche D: Yeah probably should have looked up reference for a crossbow rather than presuming. Thanks
algenpfleger wow that means a lot man your work is amazing, inspired me to do some photo studies
lilnebo haha thank you my friend
Gus thanks man, yeah shouldn't rush them, Gotta do a ton more studies some time thank you.
Grizzliman I always use 0.5mm mechanical pencils for better line quality and like 2B or B leads. The actual pencil isn't that important I find just the size of the leads. Thanks man.
A photo study for tonight. I was looking through old photo albums of places I've been for inspiring photos and found this awesome one of a small street in this abandoned village in Santorini. The lighting isn't exactly dramatic but the textures were great. Copied it from a real photo so I couldnt use the colour picker I wanna do a ton more photo studies to try and improve my knowledge of colour theory ect.
very nice man i'm seeing much improvement especially in your colors, the hands and feet can still use some work but nonetheless immense improvement, it seems like its getting easier for you to construct more dynamic poses now as well. keep em coming.
To live is to create, to create is to live. Without art and music, I do not know how I would get by in my day to day life.
nice work , better keep on doin those ehhhhh?

hey man i liked the chainsaw sword guy that you drew buuuut i think you made his feat a bit thin eh? anyways i enjoy looking at your drawings keep it up ^_^
Like it very much,
the only thing I'd say is to start putting these characters into situations, even just hints of them. on top of that, be careful with the faces, I know I tend to try to outline everything and it ends up looking far too messy and loses the shapes too quickly.
Wow. I went through the whole sketchbook and the progress you made is unbelievable, I admire your dedication. Very inspiring.
Ming yeah its quite off, thanks man
Pyroclasm haha thanks man, im just glad I found this site to put me on the right tracks
thesadpencil thanks man, im glad to hear it because those are all things I've been trying to work on

Yazzman thanks dude, I like looking back to the first pages for motivation.
Thank you everyone for all the replies. Nothing much to show today. Anyone new should check back a page for some interesting stuff.
Just quick colour studies, not meant to be pretty, more for my benefit. No colour picker used
