WELL, I LOVE TO DRAW.
Me Little Sketchbook
Well... Hi. I've been reading things for a while now and I decides I should introcude myself.
My name is Javier, I'm 20 and I'm from a little country in South America, Uruguay. Anything else you wanna know just ask.
OmenSpirits told me to check this place out as the old forum board I go to has really gone down the toilet. Looks good and professional round these parts
I'm new, so this seems like the place to post. Hi everyone, I've been looking at this site for the last week or so because I have had a sudden craving for art. I've always loved drawing but never really got into digital art until now.
I'm from England and I'm studying three dimensional design in Manchester and hopefully at the start of what will be a rewarding, enjoyable, satisfying hobby.
My Wacom arrives on monday so expect loads of newbie abominations henceforth!
Hey all Ive actully been here for a while now i just never really get around to posting or saying hello. I just try and do so much art and focus on geting better that i forget to communicate. So Yeah my name is Travis Ive been doing art now for about 3 1/2 years. I always doodled and stuff but after high school i didnt know what to do with my self so i decided to go to school for animation. I ended up finding out i really enjoyed illustration much more and ive been working hard ever seince. If your interested in checking out some of my work come on over to my sketchbook. Thanks i hope to become a member of this society!
I came from CGPad, mainly cause I felt like CGPad had a distinct lack of art tutorials and such. And its that sorta thing I really need at the moment. I'm not gonna lie...I'm a beginner at this stuff. My art is far from professional...and I feel like I don't really have a place to turn to. I have a burning desire to draw on a professional level...but I feel at times that I hit a roadblock, and am not quite sure as to how to get over it. So here I am. Hopefully I'll get something out of being here, and we'll all get to be good friends. I'm not asking for pity, I'm asking for advice from people who know the trade, and who are willing to help others who hope to reach that level of professionalism one day.
I'm new to these forums, and I know nothing about drawing and little about art. But, I like learn if thats a forum for that.
Bleatings; I have been joined for a while but I have only just begun to post.
I have reached a point where I am starting to look for jobs, and finding myself severly lacking! So it is time to bite the bullet and come and seek you guys' wisdom.
Thanks for the help post
Hello, newby here!
My name is Alex..and my art is here fairysdream.com, way to lazy to post anything right now. LOL.
I would really love to participate in the current character of the week contest, though I doubt I'd get into finals. LOL
Im Craig, Auto Design major at College For Creative Studies, in Detroit, MI. From Miami, went to Design and Architecture Senior High DASH for short(my work is on their site, the Kinetica and Cadillac project).
I had been referred by a friend, my roommate and fellow CA member, who persuaded me to contribute the illustrative side of my mind...hope you all like. Please take the time to check out my sketchbook (ever growing), my projects asthey come about in SKETCHBOOKS, and my website. I hope to make some friends, mentors, and join plenty of help groups to foster growth in my illustrative mind. =)
Thanks for the new home, CA
Peace and love
Well, ah... hi.
I'm Mae Bedlam, about 3 1/2 weeks shy of turning 21 years old. As of this post I'm a good month into my junior year as a Communication Design major at a college seated squarely in the armpit of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in Illustration and maybe Interactive Design for good measure (and an internship, hopefully).
I'm a bit hesitant to post my DA page here, since it's sparse and it doesn't exactly contain my best work—I only scan about 25% of the stuff I draw, and a fraction of that ends up on the 'Net. You can still find it in my profile if you're that curious, though.
I had heard of this place through another forum a few years ago and finally got the nerve to join. The place looks super nice.
Hello there, I'm Marco Bernardini, 23 years from Rome, Italy... A friend of mine, Takaya, linked me this forum I just borrowed a Wacom Intuos3 A5 wide special edition and I can't wait to learn to use it
pld: Too much pressure! My deviantART site

Hey everone. Brand new here. I've been lurking round the forums for a few months and finally decided to register here. I'm 17 and I'm in college studyin science but I'm definatly studying fine art next year cos I miss it now. Erm, I dont really know how far art will take me but I'm pushing myself to be a concept artist one day. I'm really surprised at how great people are here compared to other forums and how helpful the tutorails and that are. So thanks!
I'm new forumist. Hello at everybodies!
Hi, A classmate of mine recommended this site to me. i go to the Academy of Art in SF. my major is Animation & VFX- Visual Development (another name for Concept Artist). I dream to be a Character Designer and get recognized for it. You can check out my drawings on DA and my animated short on youtube both linked on my sig. I hope CA can help me become a become a better artist.
I thought I'd join as I can't currently draw or sketch to save my life, but it's something I want to get into, so I've come looking for some advice/guidance on how to get started.
Besides that there's not much else to say, I've got my pencils, my paper, a rubber, can't seem to find the sharpener at the moment.
I'm Dredwalker. New Guy. Not an artist but a respectable fan. Hope that's OK.
I'm a n00b, who resides in Brisbane, Australia for my sins.

SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH,BUT IT'LL BE BETTER!
hi! names glo. from kansas. i'm going to school trying to earn my bfa in graphic design, but thinking about switching my major to studio arts probably sculpture or 3d design type stuff. happy to join the site
Hey I'm new here came originally from deviant art and I thought I would try a new place to hang out.
I'm a multimedia design and productions grad with knowledge of photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver, 3D modeling, video editing, and flash. I also like to draw and paint when I'm not doing these things.
So far I feel like a jack of trades I'm not really very good at one thing though my drawing is a bit better than most of what I can do normally. I'm hoping after a while here I can turn out good looking artworks/pieces for a portfolio and be able to land a sweet job.
New...as of a mere hour or so ago...Great forum! Incredible talent and enthusiasm. Looking to expand and learn. Myself? STA: primarily---Mixed Media artist (love to dabble in a little of everything AND I have... ).
I have spoken!
Resignee here. Used to post some drawings from my sketchbook now and again, but eventually buggered off. Doing my first year of animation, though, so time for slacking is past.
Well, to be honest, the time for slacking was long past, but good luck trying to convince me that two years ago.
So. Uh. Hey!
Hello again, I'm new, so thought I'd introduce myself.
Got a lot of sketches, I'll up load a few to the Sketchbook Section, or the Cirtique Centre or both?... maybe.
Well cya around, hope this week is better than the last.
Note: my signature is a link to a website, is this (advertising) allowed in conceptart? Its a causes/ organisation for helping those in need, wherever- locally and golbally.

I've been registered for almost 5 minutes now. it seems this is the perfect place to start, so hey everybody.
Hey gang! I'm a sort of newbie hahahah! I been around here for a while and have even been able to start up two threads. I've gotten some critique for them which was really awesome. I am really thankful to how helpful many of you guys in the community are. Anyway. My name is Pavel Vargas. I'm Latino American and I was born and raised in New York. I been drawing since as far back as I can remember.
I went to Washington Irving High School (Maybe some of you fellow New Yorkers have been here) and I was an Art Major there. A few years later I bumped into Walter A McDaniel who was at the time working for Haschel Inc. It is a small toy company run by a great group of people. Walter agreed to apprentice me for free! I was there for just about two to three years.
I met a number of talented and great artists. Including Carlos Franko, Nelson Blake 2, and several other fellas. I didn't really get to know everybody really well but I was on at least a hi and bye basis with everyone. People gave me a ton of critiques on my work and gave me loads of art valuable art lessons. They also pointed me in the right study direction. (It was Walter who lead me to Bridgeman and Carlos who lead me to Loomis. Actually, C/A lead me to Loomis but Carlos was suggesting that I look into Loomis for a while)
Anyway, that Loomis e-book posted here on the site has been a tremendous help to my own work. I haven't been able to update my threads in a while (Though I -was- trying to update weekly once upon a time!) due to the fact that I currently don't have access to a scanner. All of that will change next month when I get my next SSI check! That's right. I am currently on SSI (Social Security Income) because I am someone who has who has Autism and Social Anxiety Disorder.
I want you guys to get to know me as a fellow artist. I draw everyday and I study everyday. On my own. I have currently been out of the internship for about two years. Walter returns from Hong Kong in March. Hopefully, I can continue my studies when he returns. Also, I have continued to study with the help of my good friend Carlos. So my figures have been getting more and more solid as time goes by. Ultimately, I want to catch up to the incredible skill level of so many of you guys here on C/A.
Anyway that's me. What else can I say? I am 30 years old. I am Dominican. Both of my parents came from the Dominican Republic. I do actually know and speak Spanish very fluently. I prefer speaking and writing in English though. I play a ton of video games. I am an advent collector of all things role playing game related. I am currently working on my own metaverse (Like the Marvel Universe or the Detective Comics Universe) for a series of role playing games I am creating on my own.
I am looking forward to becoming an influential member of the C/A community here. I have already constantly observed many threads that have caught my eye. I am going to start dropping critiques, though many of you guys are so much better than me! I am very humble about receiving critiques of my own work. So feel free to critique away! I have plenty of pieces posted in the two threads I started, and they are linked on my signature. I am working on trying to "level up" my status quite frequently during my tenure here. Anyway, I look forward to making friends with a lot of you guys. If anybody ever wants to do art trades, or projects like that, feel free to hollar at me. I'm always game for whatever.
Next month I'm going to start doing the daily sketch group for the first time ever! As soon as my scanner is available! Wish me luck gang!
So, after lurking this website for about a month, I've finally got the guts to join. As weird as that does sound. Now I'll introduce myself. I'm usually called Piggy, but that name was taken so I chose the french version of it as my username. I imagine I'm probably the youngest person on this website; I'm only 16. =] Obviously, I have an interest in concept art. I plan to go to college for graphic design and illustration. Anyway, I wish to learn how to create some amazing artwork like I've seen here, from scratch. I use photoshop regularly but the best I can do is create by manipulating and combining photos. I hope that with some encouragement and help from all of you, I can accomplish my goal.
Sorry about that lengthy and probably uninteresting paragraph.
Hey there everyone. I'm new here! I'm looking forward to getting some exposure to myself and my art along with some critique which i disparately need outside of the rude flamers on deviantart. ^^
