Yea - trying for more enviros. Crits if you can
Nice but i think it needs some idea of a light source for some reason .
the Bird in the Foreground seem to distract some ..maybe if it was more defined ?
I like the style some but i keep feeling it needs something more.. sorry for being so vague on this but I would like to see maybe more definition in the house and sky.
yea I think you're suffering from a lack of structure in this image. Each piece looks good by itself and I like the texture/rough colours of it but it looks rather slapped together...there is no unity int he object. I mean...look at how those steps get so small and yet somehow the window things are door sized?
Ship has a good silhouette. What would you think about making it a little paler and have some specs of bright light(if it's metallic) on there? Would make the animal in the fdoreground pop out that much more.

this is a real nice start,
but there are a few things you can push further.
first, you need to think of value.
heighten the contrast between light and shadow.
secondly, apply color to those values.
heighten the contrast between warm and cool.
when you have BOTH of those things working to your advantage you can really heighten the sense of form and space.
heres a quick paint over for you to explain.
keep it up, its looking sharp.

woa holy CRAP Dan - that looks SO much more interesting! I'm going back in on that thing tomorrow to push those values, heh. Will probably repost.
Ian Mack - the idea on the steps was that they were turning to the left - I see where it got mixed up - will check perspective ref for spiral staircase for this. Thanks!
CCorsair - "Bird in the Foreground seem to distract some " - made it blurry to balance out composition and keep it as a foreground element, but I see what you mean. Dan's paintover has more unity and I'll try to implement some of the elements that it has.
