Life is a long lesson in humility.
Yeah very similar
which one of you is older?
emily g - Thanks Emily! Glad you popped by!
stalsby - Thanks bro.
Elnady - Hah yeah. I'm older by about 1 minute or so heh.
kaktuzlime - Yeah I was thinking the same thing with the eye, might lighten it for fun. Yep they are photreffed, turned out a little different though.
Here's one of my friends. Did this last night in bed on my laptop.
Your work is excellent all round and these portraits show it in full force.
Please keep pumping them out.
Also i wouldnt mind seeing some realistic things mixed with those monsters you like to do. I think it would be a beautiful mix. Just an idea
Daily sacrifices to the ART GODs is manditory <><> I do it myself <><> a day without drawing is like a day without sex <> well not that bad, but bad- Mentler
Be the change you want to see in the world- Mahatma Gandhi
Art is not a substitute for nature, but an expression of feeling produced in the consciousness of the artist- Harold Speed
Damb kids and their insane talents... what is this world coming to? Really well dope there Jake... Im especially like the way you handled the eyes.. Keep on doing these... I really suck when it comes to coloring/ painting flesh tones but, if you havent read Lemens tut thread I would suggest you check it out.. It would help you get more color variations without having it look like a crayola box... Keep up the great work..
Mainloop- man i must be dyslexic.. cuz i thought you asked how many people are on lsd
I agree with kaktuzlime; the eyes look a bit flat in the first 2 pictures, the third one looks alot better in that point - it lives in some way^^
great job all in all
wow, nice edges. Gives a nice read. Like others have said the eyes are nice. Keep on working that talent.

Funny_Jedi - I've been wanting to mix it up lately, and that's what I might just do! Thanks for the extremely kind words mate. More to come dont you worry.
vigostar - Yeah Lemens tut looks awesome vigo. I've been wanting to put more colour variations in them, which is what I will start doing. Just need to figure out the best way of doing it! Too nice man! Thanks for coming by.
andreasrocha - Thanks brother. Much obliged.
Fellah. - Thanks Simon, really glad you like. Good to see you around!
guterrez - Thanks mate. Agreed with the eyes, might do some touch ups some time.
OBX - Glad you like them! Really happy you came around! I wont stop dont worry!

I particular love the eyes in the third- they are very expressive! the colors you used are bright and spirited.
I think the second one (your twin) feels a little more unfinished that the first and third- perhaps it is that they have a tiny bit more detail? On it's own, I wouldn't have noticed- I only noticed when it is beside the other two.
dechanique - Ah yes I see what you mean mate! Before I get these printed on canvas I might do a little it of touch-ups on all of them. Thanks for your kind words.
Another to come tomorrow!
Haha Asoir you crack me up ;P .
Thanks for the nice words, and I agree completely about the hair. It's something I'm constantly working on now. Since my very first SP it wasn't up to par with the rest so that's my goal
Ok, now for one that I finished up in bed last night. SP. This one had ref for the crazy lighting. And I purposefully made my eyes EXTRA blue

wow! i like what you did with the eyes on the later versions. the light added a lot of depth. i also really like the skin texture
Jake you are getting so good! THe hair is looking tons better. Just watch the crown part in the last one. The strands feel like theyre sitting on top of a mass of yellow ochre. Intergrate them and lose some edges. It's all edges with hair!
good lookin' stuff Jake!
the second to last stunned me the most, honestly.
mabey try concentrating more detail and values into the hair?
Keep it up bud!
You have interesting view on portraits. All of them have dull glance, it makes the atmosphere cloudy. Thanks, good...
You guys are AWESOME!

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
