nice work on the arm studies ...
Quick 'un before I go to bed:
the idea is based on a dsg topic. I forgot the figure had to be dynamic so screw that
OldNoobie - Thanks mate... sorry for posting everything but proper studies lately I'm in this situation where I have to put 99% of my effort to reading cause I'm in the middle of my 'final exams' or 'majors' or what the hell ever you call em, just for a short period of time though. Sorry for my clumsy english too

I agree with doyle, keep it traditional spatsissimo! (try sayin that 10x fast) Paper n pen, draw big n loose. This is a VERY subjective post since i strongly dislike drawing with an intuos because of its quite dull line. anyhow, keep em coming dude, the arm studies got potential as well.
Looking good! Much improvement since my last visit. I especially love the dark piratey painting in post #43. I don't see many non-distorted people in here, except a couple of arm studies/etc, so if you can whip out some of those i'd love it! Great imagination, and i dig your painting style. Keep it up.
thanks for stopping by my book brother.
You clearly have a great imagination and I really dig your cartoon style. Got some emotive faces going on there, for sure.
and yes. the textures. lovely.
i'll check back soon.
cool stuff, for the last on I think the first(noocolor) is better, since some of the details get lost in the coloring process. try using only grey values to get the tones right first, then use a overlay(your choice) layer to add colors.
then mergge it down and start refining and adding.
hope it helps!
i just like your messing around it makes me feel rushing into digital ( arf arf calm down )
Turner is definitely the master of mood : i was amazed when i first saw his works. I thought "shit i was missing this !! all that time"
People who do not taste these painting are missing something divine, but coping it, it's always a wonderfull experience.
hey Spats, thanks for signing my sketchbook. there sure is some good stuff in here, I really liek the pages with all the different faces and stuff... thanks...

don't you hate it when programs crash?
Thanks for replying to my sketch book. I really like your style. Nice imagination. I just have one crit...I don't like that pink on monsters' costumes. It just rouins that 'dark' atmosphere. Keep it up!
There's a really nice progression through this thread. The life drawings, of the arm were really nice. I would do a lot more life drawing. It will help make your figures more believable and real. I'm definitely liking your style and I think you should run with it. I like the looseness and gestural feel from it.
Good work, keep it up!
cool stuff, man, like the loose style, but think about thinner lines ~ the arm studies are good; screams for more, so keep it
black and white guy with the cap is very nice.

hey there! thanks heaps for commenting! You got some good stuff here, indeed. I truly like the next first one, n that spider-robot with them funnels. It seems like you have the ideas, I really like the concepts/ideas. N thats the most important thing, if you dont have the ideas, you can be however skilled tecnicaly and still have nothin. So thats good. So its nice to se how you practise the tecnical stuff, anatomy and faces and so on, so that you get the whole paccage. So well... keep the good work up!
Hey Spat! Good work. Your stuff reminds me so much of my own at 17 but better. You show much more innovation and experimentation. I think you have the potential to be very successful with this stuff (like I know what it takes to be successful). Keep exploring and studying structures and perspective and really all the more technical elements of drawing as well. It's already pretty obvious that you're on the right track from a creative standpoint.
And thanks for commenting in my sketchbook. I figured I'd return the favor.
Dile - What's up Dile. Thanks for your words - good luck with the new SB!
nineself - It was my pleasure, I sure will
Keenox - No problem mate. Sorry to hear you don't like the pink, lol. I'll try to go with something else in the future.
Beonarri - Hey mate, thanks for the compliments and advice - always appreciated.
Sodbrenner - Thanks. Yup, you're right about switching to thinner lines. I'm so used to how I work with my fatty brushes so old habits die hard I guess
anymale - Cheers mate!
Orifice - Hey there mate - wasn't much. Keep your sb updated and I'll come by shortly and leave a rant worth remembering Thanks for stopping by and thanks for your words!
Jason Borne - Wow thanks for your words. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside - leaving some comments was the least I could do mate, your sb rocks.
even up to this day his mother isn't sure whether he was born head or bottom first.
attempted to go for something a bit 'tighter' - just ended up all wonky
ps. sorry for cheap update - been a bit stressed out by school lately. I know drawing and stress don't mix well but I've promised myself to draw atleast something every day :]
Thanks for the continuing support people, loves you all!

Often there is no more than a little plaque to reveal that, against all gynecological probability, someone very famous was born halfway up a wall.
You've got some great character sketches in here, nice work mate
Hey, Thanks for droppin by my sketchbook.
Great stuff in here. You seem much more comfortable with a tablet then I am. I guess im just old fashioned and am used to my paper haveing texture I can feel. You show a nice range too. excellent with digital and real paper.
