Hey all, new to this forum. I'm hoping to be humbled and get better here. Unfortunately I've been drawing for a long time without any other eyes to pick everything apart. So, this is something I really need.
Here is a piece I'm working on for a contest. I'm having difficulties capturing the action(composition, maybe?). The horse and rider are suppose to be galloping out of a sort of mist with silhouetted figures around them. Here's the under sketch with quick values. I may change the horse's pose, and definitely the arrangement of the silhouettes. And how she is sitting on the horse.

If you want more action you need to include more angled lines. There are a lot of verticals, which are mostly used to convey the opposite.
