Bad news: that last image of Sol, had a brutal masking accident. The worst I've ever seen. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or if moleskine just doesn't like masking.
Dude thank you very much for checking my SB. It means a lot and it is much appreciated.
Your Artwork rocks! Only been half way through your SB and I had to stop right now to write this few lines down before plunging back into it. I really like your style, your sense of composition and the fact you tend to work it in the traditional medium. (it just get me even more excited to think how awesome it'd look like if rendered digitally!)....

A couple of WIPs.
Going through the twenty-five essential expressions exercise I've seen circulating...
Hey bud, you may not remember but i've dropped through your book a couple times in years past, so i'm good and familiar with your work. Everything is looking good lately, i dig your line quality and graphic style. You use tonal variation in your greys quite well, usually people shy away from heavy greys and blacks, but you use them well, they push a lot of good depth in your drawings. I'm also really impressed with the series of biblical drawings you've been steadily working on, good stuff.
No real crits at the moment, i dig what you've been up to as of late. keep it up!

gunsbins - Thank you. I enjoyed yours as well.
Fetsch - Thanks. Which pirate are you referring to... the One Light Out poster?
Cold - Thanks. I'm glad you like the girls. I'm hoping to have their book out by July.
AustenFM - Austen, sure I remember! Glad you're still lurking. And thanks for the encouragement.
OK... Today's Offering: Thing 63 "The Third Day"
Mate your work reminds me alot of mine, it's a very similar style (not judging by what I currently have on CA). I was also a big fan of the GW franchise, especially the art side of it. Big fan of Jes Goodwin's stuff. I know how you feel about loosing your stuff on a train, I lost my port-folio in the same situation. It's like loosing a limb! Your confidence in being motivated to stick with large projects is admirable. Thus, I'd like to thank you for inspiring me to start up a new SB. Keep it going man, look forward to seeing more of your work. Cheers
Today's entry... Inquisitor Orien Ffetrill of Ordo Malleus. Honestly I'm not at all satisfied with this.

Pencil layer of next set of Mae expressions.
More Facial Expressions...
Now that I know what Mae looks like... and have a final concept I've done a replacement headshot for the series banner... which I'll be updating soon.

To hell with circumstances; I create opportunities.
I think these portraits are looking more like the source material than my previous attempts at portraits. But they are still far from close to the source material Not going to post the reference sheet this time. Just GIS for Jeon JiHyun if you're curious.
More portrait FAIL side-by-sides.
Another WIP I started on the train today.
You have some very interesting designs there, really well drawn too!!!
