Thanks for updating Wes its always a treat to see your work.
awesome!! just pure awesome! really love the sketches and the digis man, looking forward to your demo in dallas!
kyoudai, I love your drawings and the precise way you articulate the intense little echoes within the "space-time" fragments, especially in the faces.
In looking at your homepage, I really like those black-nosed paintings, they're very freely painted yet still have integrity. I dig the slight diebenkorn or fauvist influence in the others. Although, you have such a good imagination that when you work more directly from photos, compositionally something seems to die inside the picture. imho, Artists should enslave photos because cameras have no heart and make dumb aesthetic choices.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing you take this fragmented surface idea to its full potential in your gallery work. I don't know if you've already done that and I haven't seen it yet or whatever.
Anyhow, you deserve all the praise you get. You make beautiful stuff.
At least Icarus tried!

Wes: A good friend of mine pointed your work out to me and I simply would have to say it's fantastic. Your sketching skills in my opinion are superb and of course are only going to get better with each one you do. Keep it up man, fantastic stuff here no doubt.
Have a look at my sketchbook at:
So very elegant, and precise. I love how you concisely draw the human form, without making any of the drawings feel rushed or unfinished. Brilliant.
