Fantasy/Architectural: ANCIENT OPEN-AIR STAIRWELL LEADS DOWN TO NETHERWORLD
I got lost in this one. bout hour+1/2
I dont know why I decided to put the stairs on the outside of the entrance, but I did.
Id reccommend greater Value contrast. put it in grey scale look at the value composition
no real black or darks
This looked a lot better in my mind I just cant seem to make what I was pictureing in my mind lol Used reference for stairs obviously

I like the idea ehough though that I might do a natural medium sketch later.

I actually like this one. Since I last posted (anywhere) I've taken a 2D art class, and I think I've improved significantly. Took like an hour or so in PS. Charcoal-y brush (not really tho).

Mine is very dark, I hope you all can see the whole pix. Comments?
mort... contrast Id make the door glow and the hall start dark and "go toward the light" it looks sort of pastel for the Netherworld.. or even for a this-world dive....
Hamsta---- blurry? and not nearly creapy enuff... Ive seen you doo waaayyy better
Kellogs very nice light but the space is confusing
bleedingmetal---- wonderful antique quality
cup of Joe-- nice idea... too much peach. think about each colour as it interacts withthe colours around it... some shadows of blue or purple would make the orange even oranger. and sun bleached as I think you intend it to be.
sorry feeling critical to night
mine is all red...ick.. feel free to light into it
mysterian...I've often condemned little white dogs to the nether world...heheheh. nice light
we can all learn something from that piece mysterian. awesome!
Chaosrocks Blurry is my middle name. your brushes are very crude. Wacom and PS right? set the opacity jitter in other dynamics to pen pressure, and thank Bjorn "Hurricane" Hurri The red space is very flat and throws off any sense of depth you might have achieved otherwise, it is also very saturated and bright.
Composition is rather standard, not very exciting.
Vulgar Thx, but this isn't a competition (and some of the heavier guns haven't posted )
heh... right you are
s'what I get for throwing it together in a hurry (sketch after all....was distracted by the COW and a friends vandalizm crises.. Ill do better next time.)
chastened but unbowed......
hamsta. I think yours is great, you really nailed the colors. the little red skull is brilliant.
apocalypse rex i just love yours! very hellish scene and powerful colors. respect.
great job to everyone else as well..

CrazyHarij Some perspective issues, but it's interesting along with all the bizzare architecture, making it surreal.
Some of your strokes seem more random then depth building, such as those bright blue greens above the lights, or those in the left foreground.
Good thinking on the warm/cool contrasts.
the stairway to hell . . . noted for it's lack of hand-rails.
Looking really nice there.
[Ps, have a submission, just cannot access me webspace :/ Guess I need a new webspace provider ]
